    Hi,
Is anybody staying at the fan village in Al Khor?
Do you think is possible to bring a bottle with the luggage when checkin?

In my opinion, you would be cutting it close. It depends on a few things, and you probably should start with how comfortable you are arriving 60 min, 75 min or 90 min prior to the flight. Whether you can check in digitally, whether you have bags to check or just carry on, whether you have status to skip lines at the airport and security, etc. all that is on you. as for the journey, I think it will take at least 30 min for the drive time. Plus the time to find an uber (more if you have to take your bag out of the stadium storage, and more depending on where in the stadium you are seating, as all the gates funnel to one exit (now, if you leave at halftime they may be lenient and let you exit the closest way and not have t do all the long walks and serpentine queues).

At half time the metro will be empty. Bus and Uber at lugsail are a looong way away. If you dont want to metro all the way to the airport, maybe metro a few stations and then get an uber?

What is the easiest way to get to and from lusail, if I can't walk long distance? Got injured foot , walking with cane. Is there golf carts available, or very close drop off/pickup zone to the stadium? Luggage store trick? Pay someone to drive and park at the stadium?

I made it back to the US after two weeks in Qatar and Oman. The bottom line is, in this world cup you have to walk your a$$ off. The walk from Lusail Stadium to the bus hub was particularly ridiculously long. Some observations for those who are making their way to Qatar or just got there:

The food is surprisingly cheap. At least at the Clusters, where I stayed, options were very limited.

On-demand ride-sharing service providers are cheap and convenient. I used them mostly to go to museums and private parties and was surprised at how low their fares were.

Don't always trust the directions provided by the Hayya App. I attended a couple of events at the Doha Golf Club where the app instructed me to walk 24 minutes from the Qatar University Metro Stop to the site. There is a bus line (M147) that drops you off right in front of the club, but this option wasn't provided.

The operating range for alcohol (beer) is QAR 45 to 55. The most regular brands found are Budweiser and Corona.

CAT1 tickets, at USD$ 220 each, were a complete rip-off. Nosebleed throughout. My TST CAT3 tickets for Costa Rica offered a much better view.

Try to strike up conversations with your fellow shuttle bus riders. I did that and ended up learning a lot about life in Argentina, Morocco, Bangladesh, Ecuador, etc.

Stadium security is a PITA, and their rules are not uniformly enforced. Be prepared to be instructed to leave the security checkpoint area and drop off random items at the prohibited items section. My collapsible silicone water bottle was ok most of the time but classified as a prohibited item in one of the stadiums. Same thing for a wooden puzzle (souvenir) that I bought at a museum prior to one of the games.

Backpacks are fine, I used a medium-sized foldable one almost every day.

Souq Waqif is very busy with lots of fans, but it has really good food options for reasonable prices. I ate there twice and paid an average of QAR 60 including drinks. We are talking sit-down restaurants here, not fast food.

In my honest opinion, the game experience was inferior compared to other world cups I attended. I would rather be in a crappy stadium with a great fan atmosphere than Billion-Dollar stadiums with no soul.

Entry is free for Hayya card holders for most of the museums from today onwards. Just visited 321 museum at Khalifa stadium. Prior booking the time slot is recommended.

Depends on when I leave the first one. If I leave a bit early, I’ll do S2S. If it’s extra time, I’ll probably Uber

Mine had a basic iron and ironing board. It had everything that it said it would in the apartment listing. At least in my building, everything was a super smooth operation. They clean your apartment every three days. The TV had the football on all different channels and you could watch any match/highlights etc. on demand. You can leave your luggage there before check-in and up to 24 hours after check-out. No complaints. It ended up being a really good deal.

My flight was at 3:25 Thursday 12/1 and I was at the Mexico Saudi Arabia match which ended at around 11:55pm. Left my luggage at the stadium “restricted item” storage area. We just rushed out of the stadium when Saudi Arabia scored (2-3 minutes to go), picked up the luggage, and hauled ass to the ride share area. Things got interesting here… we waited for an Uber and a Lyft driver for about 25 minutes, and apparently there was some issue with the location. Was starting to really worry about time so we ended up negotiating with a taxi driver who dropped us off at the airport for 120 QAR.
We had checked in earlier in the day so went straight to the gate and made it in just fine with about 30 minutes before boarding (2:00am).

*This was all with only a carry on and a personal item. No bags to check in.

tldr; made it to the gate about 2 hours from the time I left the stadium (left 11:55pm arrived at gate 2:00am). Could have been 1:30am if took a taxi from the start.
Leave luggage at stadium restricted items area if possible.
take a taxi if possible, but negotiate. Show them the rate on ride share app.

Anyone know what this Laeeb Hype Show that is outside every stadium is? Is there anything else cool outside stadiums? I only know of the complimentary team flag booth (you can get the big flag if you go early enough!)

Ranking the bus hubs I’ve been to, in terms of distance to stadium (medium walking speed). I’ve not touched metro yet during this WC. Memory may be poor so feel free to correct and add the missing stadia.

    1. Al Thumama (30m)
    2. Khalifa (25m-30m)
    3. Education City (20m)
    4. Ahmad bin Ali (15m)
    5. 974 (basically right next to the entrances)

Al Janoub, Al Bayt and Lusail I’ve not been to yet (will never go to Al Bayt.)

Al Bayt is quite close - about 10 mins.
Al Janoub is average, about 15-20 mins
Lusail is like two towns over - 30-40 mins

I have been to Lusail and Al Bayt. Lusail is atleast 45-60 mins trek for exit but entry via metro is just 10 mins. Al Bayt entry is very close to bus hub. For Stadium 974 and Khalifa, metro entries are closer, hardly 10-20 mins walking distance.
