But you're old enough to know that there are some people who would find something to complain about. This is the internet - there is always something to complain about.
We will only play two group games next world cup. Still don't know how scheduling a three team group will work.
Randomize it and play one game three days apart. Would take nine days to complete, same as now. Perhaps the teams in pot 1 play the first and last game, meaning you get a rest in between. IDK.
3 team groups was always dumb. Problem with 4 team groups is that when doesn’t divide evenly, so it would have to be the top 2 from the 12 groups, and then the 8 best third place finishers to make 32.
Enjoy this tactical buildup of the goal on Tuesday. Definition of a team goal 🇺🇸 Winning a first and second ball, build out under pressure successfully, moving together up the field, numbers centrally and out wide beating a low-block with quality movement and positional details. Fantastic work by the USMNTpic.twitter.com/5RjfN0Wqgf— Rodrigo Carvalho (@rodrigoccc97) November 30, 2022
I love a team goal. They're my favorite. The ridiculous 30 yard blasts and bicycle kicks are cool and all, but don't do much for me in general. Team goals where you can clearly see the collective working to break through the defense are so satisfying. Thanks for sharing this.
Bummer, it got taken down. Not surprising, but disappointing. Very cool view of the goal vs Iran. Sorry to those that missed seeing it.
Funny USMNT social media even retweeted it then it got taken down. Also, the social media person is Cody Sharrett formerly of the crew.
I will say that a LOT of people are getting it here. I’ve been knocked down the past two days with it and it’s no bueno.
Sorry to hear that, my friend. Hope you’re feeling better soon. How was the atmosphere at the Iran game? What was the ratio of US:Iran fans? How loud was it? LDC “Pregame-DJ Leek playing music too loud” loud, or “Crew winning goal vs FC Food Lion at LDC” loud? Are you going to the Netherlands match?
Mostly feeling better but man I was knocked down for two full days and now still have a horrible cough. I don't know of anyone over here that has not gotten at least a good cough. Iran game was probably 65/35% Iranian (and maybe higher for Iranian). They were incredibly loud all game (DJ Leek) and helped by their horns. We sat a section over from behind the goal and couldn't even hear chants being tried by USA. Only saw one incident and that was between Iranian fans after the game. Definitely started to get a little heated and we got out of the area quick. But that's about it. Going to the game tomorrow. People over here seem to be a little more over-confident than I'd like but all in all should be fun. This country has been pretty amazing once you get here. My group is staying in more of the old town area where a lot of the locals live and pretty cool to get the true local vibe from people.
If you get a chance go to the museum in Katara Cultural center--they have a big World Cup exhibition including jerseys and the like--oh and some postage stamp exhibits. That's where (some of) my stuff is at.
Tony and Eric were thinking that was a real possibility last night. But my OneFootball app has him on the right with Weah as the #9, which they also talked about extensively.
