Chicago selling, or at least according to this article NWSL’s Chicago Red Stars for Sale as League Overhaul Expands
here's Wolfsburg's starting lineup for their upcoming match with Frankfurt. This is what I figured that their attack been so centralized that their even depriving themselves from starting natural wingers Brand, Jonsdottir & Wassmuth, So in this instance either Pajor or Popp take one of their spots & probably will switch with each other at the #9. Don't expext much from Frankfurt though, they still insist on going with their more techno but slower lineup. Looking at WOB's subs, that could be the 3rd or even 2nd best lineup in the league right now. Heck, they could even give the WOB starters as the best squad in the Bundesliga! lol
1-0 WOB 5 min. Roord gets an close up, open goal, makes you wonder about that MVT backline of Frankfurt, lol
As usual you can't seem to grasp the simple idea context within any debate/discussion... Once again you've managed to completely ignore the actual point of my post concerning why I believe Bayern's path of progression now over... Beating a poor Hoffenheim, doesn't change anything regarding what I've been saying about this team under this new coach. Yeah... like you actually care...
Bayern could have lost 4-0, and you'd still find some ridiculous way to change the narrative towards this coach being good... But anybody who's actually seen this game will know Bayern only improved during a second half, once their genius coach returned Bühl wide left; with this so called new "variety" in their attacking play, being nothing more than some new BS your falsely speculating based on highlights... Honestly... I know a lot of this is bad trolling from you, as Bayern's general quality of play this season has been the exact style you constantly claim boring. If I said Bayern's coach and the teams football was great this season, next week you'd say he's overrated, or their team bad lol. Praising the use of Bühl as a false #9, when you won't even acknowledge how Frankfurt will use Freigang tactically in the same position....
Forcing Popp and Pajor into the same team, hasn't resulted in positive performances, but still gets them positive results. It's been a huge issue all season for Stroot, and the fact Popp is now starting ahead of healthy options like Brand, Blomqvist, SJJ , Waßmuth, as a wide forward, is super underwhelming for a side with so much potential. Really... you believe Stroot knows how to build a strong 2nd team, when he's STILL tinkering with his 1st 11...? Wolfsburg are far stronger on paper, than they actually are on the field of play this season.
3-0 WOB at halftime. This game going to its predictable conclusion. Frankfurt’s got nothing to offer in the first. Hopefully subs will make this more exciting
Kleinherne is facing a weak as hell wide playing Popp at RB, but continues to appear absolutely ineffectual within a system that lacks natural wingers. Even if this system used wingers though, I still believe Kleinherne a mediocre FB compared to Santos, Küver, or Hechler... Again, Pawollek remains the invisible woman for this team. Frankfurt a far better side in her absence, with Nüsken taking over the DM role. I wonder what would happens once Frankfurt finally bring one of their talented youngsters into the 1st team... And can someone explain how Anyomi is still a wnt player lol... Martinez is a more effective forward, she's not getting any opportunity to play in a CM role, with Frankfurt having more than enough defensive options too; Anyomi's got absolutely no reason to justify a place on the wnt.
I said both Grohs and Johannes elevated into the senior way ahead of schedule... but to be honest when MVT has so many solid mature options, it really doesn't matter right now.
4-0 now, and Wolfsburg aren't even having to put in maximum levels of effort lol. And I don't know why Stroot had to start Popp and Pajor in the same team, when we all know both players aren't known for being the most healthy over a full season...
Roord with an hat trick at 53 min mark, with real winger Jonsdottir in, it’s got at least funner to watch. But Frankfurt’s getting humiliated in there as they’re made no changes in their current slow poke lineup
Imagine if SJJ had the ability to consistently produce end product lol. Everyone always impressed with her speed in 1v1 dribbling, but it was Popp who created the cross for Roord's 3rd goal, with SJJ simply being wasteful... SJJ, Brand, or Blomqvist, Wolfsburg's left wing still feels the lesser threat compared to the right of Huth, and Waßmuth.
maybe an televised game between WOB’s starters & bench would of been just what the doctor ordered instead of the one-sided slug fest!
It was not a decisive goal so I wonder if Doorsoun`s tears were because of her own goal or because of Frankfurt`s overall performance.
Last season I said Frankfurt needed to recruit better mid-field options to genuinely move forward as a team, and this season watching a lackluster Pawollek replace Nüsken in a DM role, definitely leaves me scratching my head with this clubs coaching decisions right now... Kirchberger, Aehling, Küver, all healthy, there's absolutely no reason to see his teams best player (Nüsken) wasted in a CB role. So alongside Frankfurt's impressive youth talent, and their general squad depth, it leaves few answers as to why they still appear a side constructed around a system that feels it's intended to compensate for a perceived lack of quality... If Frankfurt gave Hoffenheim some of their CB options, I feel like these two clubs would be in very different positions this season lol.
Probably a mixture of both. Returning to a former club within the leagues 2nd place team and losing 5-0, during a season you've also been knocked out of the UWCL early, and dumped out of the domestic cup by a lower league opponent... it all might start to get a little emotional lol.
Wolfsburg - Frankfurt 5:0(3:0) Roord(5,42,53), Pajor(44), Doorsoun(86og) Freiburg - Duisburg 4:1(0:1) Xhemaili(56,60), Minge(68), Kayikci(90+1) - Zielinski(28)
nice win for Freiburg. Was wondering about their coach, 33 year old Theresa Merk ; was she ever a player, or did she go right into coaching? ———————- I fear there’s only one squad now within the Bundesliga that can defeat Wolfsburg’s starting eleven; Jonsdottir…..Wassmuth……Brand ….Blomqvist………..Starke ……….…….,Demann Wolter…Hegering…Wedemeyer…Bremer ….…………..Weiss
Wow... Minge scores a leading contender for goal of the season... A former u19/20 wnt captain of the Gwinn, Bühl, Lohmann etc... generation, Minge has always possessed clear talent, but until now never truly able to find a defined positional role within her club, to fully transition into a impressive senior level regular. Not particularly fast, or physically strong, I remember seeing Minge crying after a match Vs Wolfsburg, where her coach put her into a RB role to then relentlessly fail trying to contend with Pajor, Hansen, Harder, running at her. Now though... after being used as a CB/RB/DM, for the first time in her young senior team career, it appears Minge no longer a utility player anymore; working with a coach who's managed to use strong player analysis to identify the one particular skill set she has that can truly benefit the team... this being scoring goals.
