Do you even understand Newton's first law? I never said any photo showed the ball out of bound. VAR cameras used in this WC have refresh rates too low to capture the moment of contact. Either that or they are hiding something. The one often cited as the moment of contact is this.

The ball's curvature shows that the contact was made just a little prior to this moment. That makes a huge difference since even in this photo the ball is about 1-2 mm inside the paint. The ball bounced slightly upward and the Japanese player's foot caught it and crushed it to this shape and to this position. It is pretty obvious that the ball was out of bound.

In this photo the ball is still slightly in but the distance to the foot makes it almost certain that the ball was out of bound at one point unless the Japanese player has a foot speed far beyond human physiology allows. A Korean press interviewed Kinexon and they admitted that if they had used only the photo inspection as they did in WC2018 they would have ruled that the ball was out.

They are pushing their experimental technology which goes against the more obvious common sense. They have contracts with NBA and others and have a vested interest to push this experimental technology. And the sensor does not emit continuous signal or even if it does, it is registered in discrete steps creating something similar to refresh rates.

Bruh let this shit go, the tech is applied equally to every team and it is what it is. Congratulate them and move on.

It is easy to play a magnanimous 대인배. But it is just
cliché and phony. Japanese reaction to Korea's win over Portugal is quite savage unlike the false façade of civility created here. I have no intention of partaking in your kumbaya of good will with Japanese.

It is something we discussed long time ago. Korea were upset so often by middle eastern countries, actually even by Vietnam, and we had to worry about qualifying for the Asian Cup. Then someone pondered "if these little guys can upset us can we do the same to Spain, Germany or even Brazil?" The idea was quickly dismissed. We lack individual skills to achieve that.

Now Japan answered that question. Japan can do that, at least with a moderate chance of success. Korea probably still can't. I don't rate Japan higher than Korea but Korea don't fit into that kind of defensive tactic. Before WC 2002, mindful of Korea being grouped with tough countries, some asked Hiddink whether Korea could employ such defensive tactics and Hiddink said no. Too little experience he said. It was an euphemistic way of saying that Koreans lacked individual skills.

In this sense Kazan's miracle was indeed a miracle. That game was superficially out of character for Korea. But not really. Korea were not that defensive. Shin Taeyong obviously was aware of Korea's victory over Germany in the 2005 friendly.

Japan's victories over Spain and Germany are masterpieces in a way albeit in anti-football kind of way. Everyone will study those games and Korea should too. Not necessarily emulate them but just study them. Were they just lucky or did they hit the anti-football jackpot?

Neymar is easily frustrated, and when things go his way, he just loses his sh*t. Richarlison is also not consistent enough. Scores a wondergoal, and then has a bad game.

I'll say it again: if KMJ is able to play for a significant portion of the game, a miracle might happen. Also- the fans. It only takes one goal in Brazil's net to make the stadium explode, and fill the Tigers with energy to take charge and play at 150%.

    어려울 것이지만 희망은 마지막으로 죽어요.

isnt it hilarious that we are still discussing a ball sliver. To me that goal is completely bogus amd the basis of this argument is sp arbitrary its funny how crazy it makes people.

maybe someone can clear this up

why does our national team support seem so robust compared to years past? this
might be one of my bigger surprises of the tournament.

    theyre stupid

meanwhile Japan's? let me just say this about thair uniforms.....theyre very Japanese lol!

I usually don't believe in these things but holy ********. She predicted it all. But her predicting that we are going in to quarter or semis is kinda lip service.

I've heard about Korea's folk beliefs and shamanism. I respect this, as much as I do 애국가. I can't discount the possibility she's the real deal. Lip service? Well, I can hope she's right!

Having a higher refresh rate and comparing multiple frames to pinpoint the exact moment of contact would make things more conclusive, but as it stands -- even in the pics that you posted, it's inconclusive. There really is no way someone can say with certainty that the whole ball was out. It is what it is...

somebody getting robbed is part of the world cup experience. You can even argue Uruguay was robbed, they didn't even check VAR for what top commentators agree was a penalty for Cavani
