Apparenly, it's mostly seen as a beauty contest by who made the advertising poster, since it's been made a question of Ayu pomme Nakada vs Hikaru Naomoto!
Wishing Iga do well of course Ange first round. Sinjyo Mai (Definitely in my NL D1 best 11) Supplied the ball for 4 of their goals and got the 5th for herself. More of the same please on Sunday. It'll be interesting to see how Shizuoka perform against Cerezo, with Shizuoka being promoted to D1 next season. Likewise for Fujizakura and Viama being promoted to D2 and facing D1 teams. Could be their toughest games in their teams short histories. Viama do have a few members with good experience though... Kuratani Narumi - Iga FC Kunoichi Riho Sakamoto - Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies → AC Nagano Parceiro Ladies → NHK Spring Yokohama FC Seagulls Tomomi Tsunemasu - Ange Violet Hiroshima → AS Harima Albion Asuka Kakazu - Vegalta Sendai Ladies → Orca Kamogawa Ayako Shimada - JEF United Ichihara Chiba → Sfida Setagaya FC → Nippatsu Yokohama FC Seagulls Tomoko Fukumaru - Nittele Beleza → Iga FC Kunoichi → Okayama Yunogo Belle Momoko Nagano - Kibi International University → Fukuoka J. Anclas Sawa Matsuda - Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara → Ange Violet Hiroshima Yuuma Saito - Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies → AC Nagano Parceiro → Chifure AS Elfen Saitama Also. From the first round, that little lady playing for Sakuyo HS, Shima Haruka #15. Her ball control leading to the equalizer was exceptional It'd be nice to see some of these games in full.
Interesting: I didn't know that. In particular, I had completely lost track of the careers of names from the good old times ad Riho Sakamoto or Asuka Kakazu!
Wishing Ehime FC Ladies do well also Lets face it in a world where Samurai Blue beat Germany then beat Spain....in that world Ehime FC Ladies can win the Empress's Cup
Yes. I started looking around the time of the replacement tournament. Looked at the teams performance in their leagues etc. Wondered how a team, formed in 2020, started competitive football in 2021 could have such a good record. As it stands, since their first game 6th March 2020.... Played 41 - Won 39 - drawn 1 - lost 1 - goals 222 - against 12 I can see them winning promotion to Nadeshiko D1 in 10 months time. On the subject of past players. The manager/player of Kyoto Tango Queens, Yoshino Yuka and the retiring Veertien player Ayano Mori, played together for Nagoya Youth before both played for Tokiwagi Gakuen High School (2007-2010). Yoshino Yuka has a photo she wants for her office wall from the Veerien vs Queens game of the 2 of them together many years later. 伊藤さん撮ってくれたやつ良い写真すぎて、全体的にフォトショでもう少しスリムにしてから、特大ポスターにして事務所に飾りたいです。@hidetomo_ito #KYOTOTANGOQUEENS pic.twitter.com/f8xFlYxb5I— ゆかサル⚽️QUEENS👑 (@yukachin_next) November 15, 2022 Yoshino Yuka https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/吉野有香 Ayano Mori https://www.veertien.jp/lfc/player_19/topics/4241.html
If our wishes come true it'll be Iga vs Ehime in the 3rd round In the Ehime vs Lilywolf game I thought Lilywolf players looked really nervous, shooting from distance etc, apart from their GK, Matsumoto Sawa, who looked like she loved the challenge of playing a higher quality side. As I said earlier, it's sad we don't get to see some of these games in full.
H.T...WE League Omiya 0 Urawa 3 Endo 1-nil as a result of some poor goalkeeping then she is brought down for a penalty which Sugasawa dispatched off the underside of the crossbar for 2-nil at 39 mins...shortly afterwards Omiya make a hash of playing it out from the back and Sugasawa strikes for 3-nil
Third year high school student Chinari Sasai of Nojima scores her first goal in the WE League. Good work from Sugita to keep the ball alive. Nojima take the lead 1-0.
F.T....WE League Omiya 0 Urawa 3....no goals in the second half but Omiya really should have put their two chances away for a more respectable scoreline. Reds fans kept up a wall of noise for the whole game...good on em
Sendai win a pretty even game. Sendai have won four times now, but I am not sure how based on what I have seen. But you have to find ways to win, which Sendai seem to be doing. Nojima do not have a very fast defence, so they were caught out a few times by Funaki and Miyazawa. Hatanaka was never fast, but since her cruciate injury she has lost even more speed; she gets out-paced all the time. Nojima press high, so it is going to happen more. Of course Nojima also had Matsubara and Ishida in midfield with Sugita. Together they are too slow to play against most midfields. You have to drop one of them and have Fujiwara take their place. I would prefer them keep Ishida, but they will drop her before Matsubara. Having said that though, Nojima played well at times and deserved a draw, but that is on them. Sometimes when going forward Nojima create good attacking phases, but they funnel their passing too much to the wings. There were some opportunities in the second half to pass the ball to the top of the penalty box, or at least look to the top of the penalty box, but they went begging because players were only looking to pass to the wings. It is definitely an area they can work on. Miyazawa played quite deep today for Sendai. She was all over the place. Funaki took both her chances well, but with her speed she must lick her lips at the prospect of playing Nojima. It was not a spectacular game and nobody really stood out for either team. But Sendai will surely take the win.
Today's result: WE League Ohmiya 0-3 Urawa (Endo, Sugasawa 2) Jef (Inoue) 1-1 Albi (Takikawa, ? OG?) Nojima (Sasai) 1-2 Mynavi (Funaki 2) Empress's Cup second round Sfida Setagaya (Ohtake 2, Horie) 3-1 Vi Amaterasu (Kakazu) Iga (Sakuma, Fujita) 2-0 Tokiwagi Ehime (Fujisawa, Kojima, Hiratsuka) 3-2 Seisa Shonan (Nakajima, Takahashi) Harima (Shinbori, Chiba) 2-1 Fujieda Junshin (Kubota) sorry, it's still not the final score. Tsukuba Uni 0-1 Sakuyo (Ohkura) Cerezo 0-0 (PK 5-4) Shizuoka Fujizakura 0-3 Nippatsu (Katayama, Uchida 2) Nagoya (Yamada) 1-2 Waseda Uni (Takahashi, Tsukiji)
Tomorrow's games: WE League Inac vs Chifure 13:00 Beleza vs Regina 14:00 Empress's Cup second round Ange Violet vs Toyo Uni 10:30 Orca vs Diosa Izumo 13:30
Harima's game is over. Harima (Shinbori 2, Chiba 2, Nakano, Inowaki) 3-3 (ext. 3-0) Fujieda Junshin (Kubota, Shono, Hamano)
Pleased that Iga won though I feel they are still on a downward slope and their manager, Katsuhiro Kusaki, won't be there next season. Iga has 3 girls with the name Fujita Ryoko Fujita #16 GK Riko Fujita #32 (their summer signing from Nagano) and todays goal scorer. Monoko Fujita #17 (the speedy little, Kawaii, one) Ehime So Iga vs Ehime next week. Bit sad for Viama and Fujizakura but not surprised. Great experience for them, and they'll know where they need to improve to continue their journeys up the leagues. Harima have now a 10 game winning streak, last losing to Cerezo 4:3, June 12th Shizuoka holding Cerezo to a draw at FT looks like a good D1 replacement for Cerezo's departure. Nagoya? Don't like to be outdone by Bunnys? Sakuyo HS vs Harima next week. Great experience for Sakuyo.
Yes you did . I wonder why they are strong in this competition and mediocre in the Kanto league. Wonder if their squad for the Empresses Cup is the best players from both their teams, Kanto league and Uni league (JUWFA), if that's allowed?
The number of the champion of all Japan university championship of last 20 years is 10 of Nittaidai and 7 of Waseda.
