I will say I’m curious how Japan has so many players in Europe, 18-20 or something like that. Do they sell cheap? Are their players more adaptable?
Yes, it is important to export to Europe because they have the best leagues, but they will have to be able to compete and be a protagonist and not ride the bench like how lainez did for a couple yrs. Also need the directivos to be humble and be willing to learn from other south american teams like Uruguay, to understand how a small country with 3.5 million population can have cracks that play in the best clubs like Valverde, suarez, cavani, darwin, godin, etc. We need changes from the grass roots to create intense competition.
Tranquilo. The nations league and the almighty Copa chorro will be here before we know it and everything will be ok
Then convos every 4 years. Let's just get the message already. Mexico is shit and will continue in the same path.
Mexico disappointed this World Cup. Every thing from callups, coach, formations, etc. they played a good first half against Argentina then collapsed in second half. The Saudi game was entertaining but too late. Unfortunately don’t see things getting better anytime soon. Same crap every cycle.
Rinse and repeat type discourse every 4 years or so. Chavez is the reflection of the mexican league when it comes to mexi talent. A player that ideally should be in europe 4-5 years ago by now, but only recently getting his ''big break'' as a player. I hope he leaves asap. Vega and Montes as well. NI modo. Will never support the nads.
Lainez was a lot better option than the regular every day players like Antuna and Alvarado even in the bench. It would be better than he could regularly play but still, it's better than what was in the bench.
It was totally on Martino in not using them, but even with those left out, we don't have the talent of a team like Argentina. People complain about being defensive but they just have too much talent for Mexico to go all out, so all our victories against those team have to go thru that pattern.
WC is over for me. ******** the rest of the world tbh. and I’m not even as sad/salty as in 2002. no game will ever be that depressing.
Just wanted to say, glad this forum picked up a bit this final game, things had been pretty dry compared to the previous world cups, not sure how long this forum will last but I enjoy reading and interacting with people on here! Valio Madre pero ni modo 100% mexico hasta la muerte
No kidding. I feel like its been ages since i've been here. Glad to hear from all of you. Misery loves company, especially the way Mexico played this WC.
Not sure if any of what I’m about to say has been said or not… just my opinion. A lot of things have to change for us to even have a decent World Cup next time at home. Starting by the way stupid ass liga mx is structured, the mediocrity of the league is what hurts us the most. Then the greedy club owners that don’t want to sell our young guys to Europe but amarrete coaches won’t play them regularly either. The 20/11 rule has to be implemented again for new prospects to emerge regularly and send most of them to Europe as soon as possible to develop when they are still actually young. Like where the Fack was Chavez 5-6 years ago? Dude’s almost 27 and is barely emerging as a true talent Media and coaches as well as fans have to stop prioritizing experience and jerarquía over talent. Lastly I just don’t understand why most people here want the US, Canada and any other concacaf or Conmebol team to fracasar, it’s like if you guys thought “eh I don’t care how Mexico does in the world stage as long as we’re better than the nads and still the mediocre gigantes de concacaf”. I believe that if those teams have success, our directivos will finally do something, wake up and change things. But whatever none of that is going to change so yeah…
Most here probably don’t frequent nsr. This wc was mostly over with the tie to Poland. Argentina was an expected L and asking Mexico to golear anyone is asking too much. Sucks the streak ended…kings of the mediocres is no more.
Ok, need some positive talk. This was well deserved. Goal of the tournament, by far.
