The man behind Eintracht Frankfurt's success Ben Manga is leaving them. It's game over for Frankfurt. It was good while it lasted.
does anyone actually care about Frankfurt anyways? Outside of them playing in Europe I don't see anyone who actually roots for them here during 1BL season anyways. for me, Trapp, Knauff, Rode, Kostic were most important in that EL trophy. the likes of Rebic, Jovic etc won them nothing and Jovic got exposed too.
Jovic won them €60 million. That was brilliant for them. Haller was sold for €40.0 million. A club like Frankfurt isn't expected to win any trophies. Ben Manga kept finding gems for Frankfurt for 6 years and eventually won the Europa League and they are now a top 6 club in Germany. From 2019: In 2.5 years, chief scout Ben Manga took Eintracht Frankfurt from relegation scrappers to top four contenders, uncovering talents like Luka Jović and taking them within touching distance of a Europa Final.I wrote on Manga’s strategies for @BTLvid ✍🏻 https://t.co/Qb2JjWFPTJ— Zach Lowy (@ZachLowy) November 18, 2019
wouldn't call coning other clubs out of money=brilliant. This is why TONS call 1BL farmer league and shit at how soooooooooooooooo many bomb outside of 1BL. I personally don't care about money or transfer values anyways. I 100% SHIT on whole dev/sell BS that Germany loves to do as well. also disengenous to attribute whole success to 1 person though.
which has been confirmed by Terzic-Dotmund. Bamba+Collins impressing in 1st team during Asian Tour Brunner impressing vs older players in U19 and has been Dortmund's U19 savior in Youth League. Konig is rated by everyone, etc. Dortmund could finally see more Academy players breakthrough in future.
a lot of players won't be there next season anyways. also Club was shit under Bobic anyways and that clown is gone and now ruining Hertha. Krosche is one who also wanted Knauff and no Knauff and Frankfurt would never have won EL nor would they have made CL R16. It doesn't take a scout for that transfer as Knauff did play and perform for Dortmund in 1BL and was CL XI vs Citeh too. Glasner also deserves credit too. in any case, I don't really care since Frankfurt is still barely any Germans. As long as that's case the team doesn't interest me much. They could bomb and I could care less. Would rather see Freiburg make CL over them.
This is why I like Terzic so much. BVB may not be winning major trophies any time soon, but I've noticed Terzic has made sure youth academy players are integrated into the senior squad.
Aren't most of bundesliga club now barely German in starting XI? off the top of my head only Freiburg Bayern BVB Bremen and Bochum with more than 5 German starters. But even Freiburg now relatively play more foreigner compared to few years ago.
Freiburg has had bunch of injuries but still majority German. Frankfurt is type of club who bunch of times only had 1-2 in XI. That is never acceptable. Even some matches with only Trapp too. Leipzig has more Germans due to return of Werner and that Gulasci is out for season. prior was basically only fullbacks and that's it.
so with Paulinho officially gone, that means 2/2 Brazil youth bombed in 1BL. so much for famer's league. They push for them in 1st teams, pay like $20M for Paulinho only to flop hard.
Depends on the rest of the internal structure, no club is dependent on one man. Frankfurt do seem to be moving in the right direction in terms of reintroducing a II team and signing more young Germans.
if Frankfurt struggles in future will end up being due to constantly signing players we all know won't last so will then have to find neverending replacements. that is price one pays for whole dev/sell.
Frankfurt II needs to jump to RL ASAP. As long as they are in 5th division, not many will get chances. Currently 1st place too. even newly re-introduced Magdeburg II who started in 6th division is on track for 5th division promotion. Karlsruher alwasy convos about bringing II back. like vast majority who axe II regret it later. Union Berlin has made an unofficial U21 mixed of U19+U17 to play friendlies vs pro clubs. As they give 0 chances in 1st and too boost dev. But issue is that the coach isn't an integration coach he's typical 2BL one. And this fake U21 isn't going to make a huge diff. But how long until they decide to bring it back? I do think some could wait to see how things go with Frankfurt and II, if they start to integrate and show something might push others.
I also posted this in the GK, thread, but with Neuer out for the rest of the season will Bayern stick with Ulreich or bring back Nubel (if they can) from Monaco. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...alkeeper-bayern-munich-germany-injured-skiing
FIFA announce a new Club World Cup with 32 teams will be launched in 2025 pic.twitter.com/Pzd5wrfLY2— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 16, 2022 And when exactly do they intend to fit in all these extra matches? Talk about overkill.
club world cup is dumb only clubs that matter are in Europe. all best South African players move to Europe and aim for CL anyways. So CL is basically the Club World Cup already.
Who cares about this Mickey mouse tourney at all? European clubs should just hand it over and don't participate.
It's been ten years since a South American club won the World Cup. European clubs are just too strong, so why bother?
