Hard for Licha having said that Otamendi & Romero were dominant today. Hard to fault them with anything. RDP was not as bad as the previous games but Enzo and Mac were sensational.
Thought the key for RDP was that he had more help in mid with Mac & Enzo playing closer to him so there was a passing outlet. Also Poland didn't press like Mexico. But most importantly, he didn't try to do too much. Kept it simple with the passes and was his energetic self running all around. Very good match after 2 horrible ones. Hard to judge the back line cause our mid was so dominant but Ota was excellent again.
Messi did try indeed but Szczesny save Poland today. Feel sorry for Tata. The Mexican media and fans are going to ask for his head.
Enzo really shouldnt be sole #5 it's a waste ...but even at Benfica he's playing there with a partner. He played best after he was allowed to move forward
Yep, although he was talking to and hugging Lewa at the end. Good sport. I feel sorry for Lewa to be playing with suck a sorry bunch.
I drunk 2 beers in the cafe with my husband while watching (at 4pm!!) , do i have to get drunk every game now as cabala????
Holy smoke... 23 passes. Memories of Cambiasso's goal Argentina-Serbia in 2006. 23 passes in the build up to @julianalvarezzz’s goal against Poland. The second highest behind that pretty good Cambiasso goal against Serbia & Montenegro in 2006 scored by Argentina since 1966 [via @OptaJavier] pic.twitter.com/OXBKoK7K9s— GOLAZO (@golazoargentino) November 30, 2022

Fab five!! What a 5-a-side team watching the game today. No need for a keeper when you’ve got @jpsorin6, @Crespo, @GBatistutaOK, Cambiasso and @javierzanetti 🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷🇦🇷 pic.twitter.com/fisKMy8Cea— GOLAZO (@golazoargentino) November 30, 2022
My post from September back when many still wondered if he'd even get called. And yes I do make predictions for a living
Messi performance was really easy on the eye, reminded me of some match vs Man City back in 2015. That night Barca won 2-0 and Messi had a penalty saved by Joe Hart yet everyone knew they had seen something special. Enzo was magnificent, Mac Allister never stopped moving and De Paul was metronomic, broke some passes/touches records. I think Acuña was the only one not on the ball today. Australia have really rallied these last two games, but Argentina having faced 3 teams mostly intent on destroying should be prepared for this. Credit to Scaloni for continuing to tweak even on the back of a win too, chances are that he'll have his best XI by quarterfinal (if the team progresses of course).
This may not be a popular opinion here but I prefer Tagliafico to Acuna. Nico had a good cameo today.
