None of that matters. France is through to the second round, as is England. Y'all will meet in the R8 unless the Senegalese show tf up, and the French will probably advance.

Whenever your society is oppressing you, it’s vital to check if the boot on your neck was made by the public or private sector. It’s always reassuring for the victim when the boot is made by the private sector.

I think I'd rather be France than any of the teams in this scrappy group C, but damn the Saudi fans have showed up with noise.

I tend to cheer on democracies and CONCACAF, so c'mon Mexico...

True it doesn’t matter in the scheme of thing. Olivier will be alright as well, as soon as he gets his tongue out of his arse.

Dak Prescott? He went right along with Jerreh's program like a good little Negro. Played ball at Mississippi State. The only guy to QB that school to an SEC West title went to my HS BITD.

Wayne Madkin. Should have won the damn SEC in 1998, but his team was too heavy for him to carry against Tee Martin and co.

I know we were talking earlier about how bad CONCACAF is, but can we talk about how UEFA isn't sending their best? Sure, their top tier teams are winning their groups, but they've also come in dead last in two out of three groups completed so far. Wales and Denmark were taking up spaces that could have been assigned to countries with better soccer traditions who missed out on qualifying because their regions didn't get enough spots, like Panama and UAE.

The Argies are doing all the attacking in this game. Came close a couple of times. But that Otamendi is a Fkn thug. Oh wait, enforcer. Much as he is with Citeh.

Oops Messi’s face is still on the keepers glove.

That is, of course, the serious point - UEFA has a problem with how they run their qualification, in that countries like Wales and Denmark get in and give up points to non-soccer countries like Australia and the US, while Italy stays home because they had a bad day against North Macedonia. UEFA is the only confederation that has one round of qualifying with everyone involved - every other confederation (save CONMEBOL) has preliminary rounds to get rid of some of the minnows. UEFA should do some filtering of the tiny no-hope countries like Andorra and Scotland so that the big countries can play fewer games and you're more likely to wind up with the best countries qualifying.

Funny you mention Scotland right when a guy named "MacAllister" scores.

But I think UEFA's thinking is that if the "best teams" qualify all the time, Euro-minnows will never make it. As a non-European, that irks me, but if I lived in a smaller European country not named Croatia, I might prefer the current system.

I think it would be funny if two CONCACAF teams got through when pretty much all of us were thinking that we'd be getting shut out.

And given how flat Poland is playing today, they wouldn't have anyone else to blame.
