Don't worry guys. In 2026 all returns to new normal with 48 teams. Europe grows by leaps and bounds from 13 to 16 teams. Italy, Cyprus and Andorra all have equal chance to qualify Africa almost doubles Asia almost doubles South America gets 1 more Oceana gets 1 spot for their 1 team. Fair is fair after all. 16 groups of 3 teams in the first round. None of the teams will collude in final games because by then everyone understands Fifa is all about Fair Play See, they even have a banner to prove it, for all you naysayers: No more boring draws in the first round as all games will be subject to penalty shoot outs to ensure a positive sustainable result. If you think that is not enough to bring equity to the game then, By 2030 there will no longer be qualifications. Any country who is not carbon net-zero will not get an invite. Invites are prestigious and only for green compliant countries. The World Cup by 2030 will be played throughout the world, over the period of a year, like a tournament. The games will meet ESG's (Environmental, Societal and Goofball goals) as stipulated by the CON (Council of Normalcy). These Environmental, Societal and Goofball goals are as follows: 1. No travel by plane to play games, therefore you only play countries in your own continent or other continents with a land bridge 2. Must be equally represented by women and men. Good thing men can be women now 3. No micro aggressions from crowds. Booing is antisocial behavior. To be fair, no cheering either, you might hurt the other teams feelings. 4. Defenders and goalies will be eliminated. Negative positions contribute to negative feelings amongst fans and negative feelings amongst fans contribute to polarized behavior which translates into either booing or cheering. 5. No draws will be allowed. If at the end of the game there is no winner a penalty shoot out will determine the winner. Goalies will be allowed for penalty shoot outs but will not be allowed to move along the line. Goalies will be permitted to reach laterally as far as they can, only. At the end of the tournament all 48 teams take part in the celebration and get a victory lap with the World Cup. All 48 country names will be etched into the cup. Each country gets to keep the cup for 1 month, until the next tournament (48 months later) when they do it all again. Everyone wins Everyone is happy
At this point England might as well throw on @roverman at striker.. .they'd have as good of a chance at scoring with him leading the line! By the way... you alright roverman? We're waiting for you to man up and come face the music. or are you too busy trying to convince yourself that Jack Grealish is the best in the world??
Walker Zimmerman was benched. He sucks. All of the players are playing in Europe. Two in Italy, One in Spain, One in Scotland and the rest in England I believe. LEVEL OF LEAGUE =LOL!
LOL! He has two last names! I'm surprised Zimmerman started and played the entire match against England after that mistake.

Someone needs to step up an knock out this annoying US team. good lord talk about a nightmare for the world if they actually win this.
Exactly, both the players and the fans are extremely annoying and arrogant especially the fans, almost as bad as England. Holland will take care of them.
Not that I care really what anyone else thinks but as an Italian-American with dual citizenship , who also lived in Italy, I'm very proud that the USA advanced. I've been waiting for America to do well at the World Cup level since Ricky Davis was playing alongside Giorgio Chinaglia with the New York Cosmos. I mean Didier Deschamps when coaching Juventus in Serie B during the 2006-2007 season once said "it takes two teams to play il Bel Gioco or Jogo Bonito" and the blowouts in some games that I've seen are mostly because the other teams have been crap. Holland plays the most boring soccer and they aren't that good at all and who have they played? Qatar, Ecuador and Senegal and this makes them a great team? There is no Gullit , Van Basten, Rijkaard and Johan Cruyff or Total Football that I have witnessed. Italy can't even qualify for two consecutive tournaments or even score one lousy goal against North Macedonia. They were also eliminated by a guy named Aleksandar Trajkovski who was playing for Palermo in Serie B , 3 -4 years ago and we are supposed to always hate on the Americans and why exactly? Most of us on Big Soccer all live in the states so who are we supposed to root for exactly, Serbia, Iran , Saudi Arabia or Croatia? We all know Qatar landing the WC was fixed and as the host nation , they can't even get out of their group or score so we aren't supposed to cheer on the Americans? I mean seriously! I think there are many soccer fans wanting to see the US team succeed.
Me too falvo. Euro snobs are the worst. They've never been to Italy/Spain etc don't speak the language, have lived in the USA their entire life, but don't support the national team. Makes no sense. Same for fake ass Canadians lol
Yeah, and everyone wonders why soccer never makes it big in North America... You got soccer fans supporting their EPL , Serie A teams , ignoring their own , local home based teams and leagues and the biased media wanting the sport to fail at every turn. So, we are supposed to support Australia , France or Croatia and we all live in California, Texas, Illinois, or along the east coast? I never understood the reasoning.
