I wouldn’t regard Sterling has technical at all .. he is fast , elusive with a low centre of gravity and can cause havoc with his movement/mobility. He’s been taught by Pep to time his runs into the box for tap-ins

Good exam results do not equate to intelligence though .. usually just a good memory.

I think Rice would get strong competition from Grealish and Foden on that point :)

    This looks fair enough

So interestingly just checked the updated odds.
    1. Brasil - still in first place
    2. France -
    3. Spain - has moved up into 3rd
    4. Argentina
    5. England
    6. Portugal - has moved above Germany
    7. Germany still up there
    8. Netherlands
    9. Croatia
    10. Denmark.

Pop us in above Argentina. But other than that it’s good.

Australia vs Denmark is a massive game today.

Thought Hendo was at his usual worst for England

    Player wise I’d agree

Spain play the football I like . Pity they haven’t got a natural scorer

But up against a team that presses them like Germany did they aren't as effective

Wound up going to this match after an afternoon reunion with some old friends in a pub in Qatar... here's some footage from the stadium, including both goals..

Croatia looked very good against Canada. Denmark don’t look like they have the drive to go that far.

On the 44th anniversary of Viv Anderson’s England debut Rashford became the first black player to score in two World Cup matches for England. He is the 12th player to score in more than one match at the same World Cup for England.

I doubt Pickford is lining himself up for Mastermind either.

Would give them the advantage due to Messi. Even if he's no longer at his peak, he's still more than capable of elevating them than anyone we have.
Splitting hairs though - France and Brazil are the top two for me, a gap then Spain third, then a smaller gap to several others.

Nah. We are in third alongside Spain possibly Argentina. What have Spain done this tournament to be ahead of us? They were found our against Germany because Germany pressed them. I also wouldn't even have Argentina ahead of us just because of one player. There's very few in that Argentina side I would have in this England team.

I'm not being dismissive ianman just sick of our supporters always talking us down (not aimed at you, personally) and bigging up other teams. I know I do it too

Gary Neville is always negative with England because his time as England coach was an absolute failure

I'm dreading itv covering the next 2 England games. Their presenters are either odious or boring. Not to mention an awful commentary team. Bring back Clive tylsley

I’m watched the first 15 minutes and all the French team looked poor. I’m watching Australia v Denmark now but it seems France haven’t improved much.

The players we bring on look far more effective than the French backup players. Their strength in depth is exaggerated

I don’t find him negative here, he’s stating obvious facts without any negativity.

I like Neville but there's definitely a negativity with him regarding England

Deschamps picked a horrific team. Not many conclusions to draw here.
