Glad to get through but disappointed in a way because with a better mentality and some decent attackers this team could really challenge for the title.

Dempsey calling a spade a spade. Some of these dudes shouldn't be playing for Liechtenstein

I expect every one of you RMBS peeps to support us against the Dutchies.

Adams and Musah were both world class for about 60 mins or so but they totally ran out of gas late. That aside I actually agree, there is a lot of quality there.

Yeah I was just saying that if he had a decent finisher we could have more comfortable games. But this young squad was chosen with 2026 in mind. I’m proud of the guys to get us through.

We have a legit shot against the Dutch. I’ve seen them play they are not some amazing team.

They run out of gas because the donkeys that play in front of them.

Credit to Pulisic for scoring but he is one of the donkeys that should be way better and has disappointed

It’s too bad Sargent looks like he might be out for a while because I thought he was great today.

The US got lucky. I was not confident they were going to get out of the group stage this WC and they barely did by the skin of their teeth. Iran had a legit penalty shout at the end, but was never going to be awarded.

A few good players but limited overall as they have no goal scorers. The sooner it ends the better IMO, such a dreadful team to watch. I’m hoping by 2026 the core team will be at its peak and we have a new coach and goal scorer to make a deep run.

Iran just weren’t good enough. The penalty claims were desperate. Their buildup lacked intensity, even in extra time they were playing the easy pass along the back line instead of progressing the ball into midfield.

They only needed a draw to go through and they still lost so they deserve to be out.

Diving and complaining profusely doesn't make a penalty legitimate.

They were so pathetic their own played handled the ball then started crying that we did. Had his team and the crowd demanding a penalty

Carter-Vickers was a little fortunate because his hand on Taremi could’ve been given but it would’ve been very soft. Impossible to give that on VAR.

Otherwise Iran fought but didn’t deserve anything from this game. Could’ve easily lost 2 or 3-0.

Iran had two good opportunities, one where they tried to bend it in at the 6 yard box on a cut back and on the header on the set piece. Iran was poor, and a much weaker team. Pretty pathetic stuff from the US that could not dominate a match like that and win comfortably 2-0.

USA v Holland will be a great match, their first competitive match after five friendlies, the last of which was a thrilling 3 - 4 win by USA in Amsterdam in 2015...

A lot has changed since 2015 of course, but I reckon it will be a tight match, a few of the matches in the knockouts will be close. Anything could happen.

I hope it's great, dramatic play, whatever happens.

Would not surprise me at all if the Netherlands lost to the USA.

France, Brasil and England are the teams that look a big threat. Even when they aren’t scoring they don’t look like they will concede.

Netherlands is to football what the Knicks are to basketball and South Africa is to cricket. Legendary players, some great teams through the years but not good enough to win the big one. World class chokers.

They didn't choke at Euro 1988, which they emphatically won, demolished the opposition. Gullit and Van Basten, what a duo, phenomenal...

I think that Dutch football is in transition, has been since 2016. Belgium ascended in that time, but have looked poor lately. Italy won the Euros in almost cruise-control last year then failed to qualify for their second World Cup on the trot, woeful, scandalous.

It could end up being a USA v Argentina Quarter-final, but that would be nothing compared to Holland v Argentina then Brazil v Argentina! But good luck to USA from Scotland.

I don't think you can go far with one route to goals (Klassen and Gakpo).

England I don't see them going past SF. They always get their ass kicked by a serious team after easy draws. Or if not it goes to penalties which they're awful in.

Brazil with Neymar back would be epic.

Any outsider picks? Belgium look finished. I dont get how Hazard starts ahead of Trossard.

    Serbia? Croatia?

    He came and told you?
You are one blind fangirl when it comes to Cr7 and Hazard ( won't talk about him here), i was myself a massive fan of Cr7, but his antics now are nothing short of pathetic, and it doesn't take too much to atleast have eyes( if not common sense) to see that no part of his touched the ball when it went in , Cr7 right now is just a meme, that's how bad it is.

Cristiano is still my favorite player. I'm just not some fool who can't admit people I like are flawed.

    We all are.

He’s a meme only to losers who are looking for dirt on him all the time.

He doesn’t have anything left to be proved and the obvious bias when other players do the same things he’s accused of doing is unreal.
