That's a hand ball. Should be a penalty for Iran. no VAR? I personally believe it was too soft but there was contact with the hand and based on recent precedent that is a clear hand ball. We also were denied a clear free kick a few mins earlier when ghoddos was fouled.

They managed to keep Iran out througout the whole match. Iran just couldn't deal with USA's high press.

AFC's best hope going into the last matchday couldn't do it. Iran 2022 were only more experienced than Iran 2018 but not necessarily better.

 

Revenge for '98.

Feels sweet because that was one of my lowest points as a USA fan.
