The Arabic “Ata-tuna” means “do you approach” or “do you come after” (forgive the double entendre), not you are attracted to or lust over.

And the Quran is one source of Islamic law, there are many others. There are plenty of Hadith confirming that the person who has a desire to sin but refrains from it is not just free from sin, but they are rewarded for their abstinence.

So let’s not try and suggest that I have some sort of ulterior motive to lie about what the Quran says. I have nothing but sympathy for people whose societal norms don’t align with their sexual desires, of whatever inclination, but the Muslim position on marriage and sex outside of marriage is clear.

 

And Zimmerman gets redemption. How perfect is that?
