Sure, but you still tend to need that player capable of those moments of magic, especially in the really tight games.
Rashford goal from a freekick. With his goal in the opener and now this maybe it'd be a good time to cash in
1. USA 2. Land of the Free 3. Amerika 4. Estados Unidos 5. The States 6. US 7. Home of the Brave 8. U 9. S 10. A
The US’s ability to finish that game was atrocious. You have to keep a midfielder on who knows how to control the game. The fact that the US defended the last 30 minutes of that game is unforgivable. Iran were awful.
That's on Berhalter. He could have brought on Reyna or even De La Torre to help control the midfield instead on bringing on extra defenders allowing Iran who kept coming at them.
We ********ing did it. So proud of our guys. Adams, Musah, Ream, and Robinson have all been immense throughout the WC.
I've enjoyed this cup tbh. It's mostly upsets though. I think the USA has played very well until the second half of this game. Considering you're an English fan, I was about to:
1. France 2. Brazil 3. Spain 4 Portugal 5. Netherlands 6. Argentina 7. England 8. Germany 9. Morocco 10. Croatia Dropout: None I have doubts about England getting by Senegal. Too tough to call but while England has the edge, they drop in the rankings. Netherlands will a better chance of advancing against the US so they swap places with England. No other changes to the rankings at this time.
I was happy to cash in this summer but I’m really glad he’s turned things around. Physically he’s in great shape so he’ll put a lot of it down to being free of injury, but it’s his mentality and willingness to learn that have improved most imo. It’s nothing to do with ‘concentrating on his football’ which is just nonsense, but it’s definitely about conviction and belief in what he’s being told to do and why. Before Ten Hag he was complaining about being played out of position - now he’s doing so gladly. Before, he was being played at RW because his decision making was so bad at LW that we were trying to limit how often he’d cut in and shoot from stupid areas - we were using him based on what would result in the fewest bad choices. Now, not only is he making more good decisions at LW, he’s also making them at RW and CF. He’s specifically being trained to resolve his weaknesses like aerial ability, or pressing, and he’s seeing results. This Rashford, with this application, we should definitely keep.
