I think it’s the first yellow Leeds fans are upset about as it was a soft yellow. Adams will be sorely missed for the City game, but that’s a problem weeks away…

Are they upset with him? I haven't seen that sentiment.

Read that as upset it was deemed a yellow.

If there is a silver lining to this game, it was the chance for Adams to match up with Harry Kane prior to the England WC match. That could pay big dividends on the day.

Kane wasn't shy about pushing his size advantage in the box. The US can expect to see more of that from England in the WC. Will Beerholder have any answers?

I love international football but the dynamics of club play and watching the sport played during a global event like the WC are totally different. I personally like both but there are MANY things about the USSF operation that irritate or annoy me. I'm not tied to this country or it's team by patriotic/nationalistic pride so they are only one of a few national teams i care about.

At the end of the day I like following development of players and watch any MNT and U-20 games that are televised (I watch some WNT too but don't feel too connected to the current team).

My deepest relationship is with my local team, DC United...I pay to attend in person & have collected DCU merch over the years even though I've never done the same for the MNT. If the team were better I would care about national team results a lot less

So...if I feel that way about a team that's only been around since 1996, can you imagine the culture and mindset of club supporters with 100 year history? Those feelings literally span multiple generations and represent memories they've experienced every single one of those years

Whatever happens to Leeds, Adams' stock is rising. He's bossing the organization of a USA that's choking England and his penalty box tackle (on Sterling I think it was) a few minutes ago was immaculate.

The Irish TV commentators have been raving over him all night. The two words that keep coming up: aggression and control - of his aggression, his positioning, etc.

Dare I say he's developing into someone who years from now will be considered world-class?

Captain Adams was an absolute beast/boss against England.

He's going to be at a top club very very soon.

Both Aaronson and Adams are developing quite nicely under Marsch.

If America had a proper No. 9, last night's result would have sent England and the USA through as the USA would've already beaten Wales.

Iran will be no pushovers and can still qualify if they and England draw their last two games. Team USA have got to score first and early, then pick off Iran on the counter. In that scenario, Adams' defensive discipline and midfield leadership is going to to be crucial on Minday.

Prefer him staying at Leeds and building a top half team. Leeds have some nice young pieces in Summerville, Gnoto, our guys, etc.
There aren’t many significantly bigger teams that fit his style. They’d rather buy Rice for $90M.

Oh Captain, my Captain! So proud of how Tyler answered the aggressive Iranian reporter’s question in the press conference. Adams = class and grace.

Any/every team who has Tyler Adams is lucky to have him. In addition to being an exceptional player -- on the world stage -- he seems to be an exceptional human being as well.

Predictable noises emerging in the Italian press over Tyler Adams following his stellar displays for USA.... Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Inter coach Simone Inzahgi is 'dreaming' of prising #LUFC star to San Siro, though 'accepts' any move will be difficult to pull off.

Can't happen this season unless they sell a non-EU player abroad, but maybe worth keeping an eye on in the summer (if I understand Serie A transfer rules correctly).

Aggressive? He was flat out lecturing TA and I wouldn't have even responded to that clown much less apologized. Rant aside TA is a great representative/leader of the group and is wise beyond his years so that response was not surprising.

I did sense some anger in the journalist's tone. He was tilted and Adams was the better party in that exchange. Well done, Tyler.

For sure the journalist had an agenda and was trying to "whatabout-ism" the social conditions in USA versus Iran. Although I'm not sure Tyler ever wagged his finger about the human rights abuses in Iran current or past...? But maybe the journalist attacked Tyler because he couldn't attack US Soccer directly.

Most media in Iran is state controlled. It was a shot at the US, not the USMNT.

This I'd love to see although I'd like him to finish the season out at Leeds.

Adams showed he can move the ball forward today, in addition to his normal tackling heroics in the middle/back. He doesn't appear to be on a trajectory that will keep him at Leeds very long.
