All for it and I know that too, but didin't want to mention it. I'm going to try and be a positive human until January 1st, 2023, then I will reassess my New Years Resolutions of Anger or Happiness. :p:D. I'm sure something will make me angry though.

I recommend that you watch Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management.” It’s all about how much he hates anger management therapy and how much he think’s it’s a waste of time. It’s pretty funny, in a bleak and depressing sort of way. Also, I agree with him on this point, (but not much else). Also, I can recommend a yoga book that you might find helpful. There’s a chapter in it on anger that was good for me.

I’m still rooting for every CONCACAF team, and I sure as hell hope that Luchi can bring us more success.

    Go USA!!

Learn to play guitar. Agression and anger make it sound better. And if that doesn't work, this will:

I would never do that to a guitar, but I do play angry, and I channel my anger into aggressive songs. It's good for me, in lots of ways.

Luchi better bring us some bone fide WorldCupHeroes (TM).

    Go Quakes!!
    GO USA!!

I’m really hoping that John Wolyneic will develop his next great young defensive player soon in San Jose. Tyler Adams played right back and D-mid for him in NY/NJ and Aaron Long and Matt Miazga became top center backs developed through his coaching.

The Quakes have some great raw material to work with.

In addition to Oskar Agren and Casey Walls, guys like Alejandro Cano, Ethan Kohler, Israel Carrillo, Tarun Karumanchi, Aaron Edwards, Tristan Viviani, Benjamin Do, Drew Murray, Nathan Scott, Nathan Rodrigues, Owen Wiebe and Oscar Verhoeven could blossom into an elite player with the right set of circumstances.

Yes there is. I would project that almost all of those guys have the necessary athleticism to play at an extremely high level. A few may have to rely on their soccer IQ but the potential is absolutely there.

Speculation on my part of course but I think it’s possible that Luchi would want to become head coach of the USMNT after the 26 WC. Assuming the youth project goes to plan I think Ian Russell could be groomed to take over the team in 27 or 28. I also think if that happens we see several former Quake players on the field for Luchi in 2030. Pretty amazing to see those guys develop right in front of us….

Hopefully he can shake off the impact of coaching here and it won’t be too detrimental to his career, or maybe Fish and Leitch can do their part and set him up for some success here, that would be sweet. I don’t want that see another coach scapegoated for their failures like Matias and all the others were. We need a culture change and it has to start at the top as we know.

I admire your optimism! I think Luchi would have to have a pretty good record with the Quakes and succeed where others failed, and the Quakes youth / academy movement would have to really bear fruit.

How many titles did Berhalter win with Columbus? (It's who you know.)

Very risky to take the coaching job in San Jose given all we know.

Well they did make the playoffs 4 out 5 years I think, and made it to MLS Cup once. If Luchi could do that with the Quakes he'd be the most successful Quakes coach easily, except for Chris Leitch, who made it 1 out of 1 times, and had a better win % than Berhalter (41% to 38%). Maybe Chris Letich should be the next USMNT coach! :p

So far he’s failing miserably as Quakes GM, why would anyone want that?

Maybe Tata should coach the US Nats. He won an MLS Cup. :)

Haha, I can only imagine how hard you were screaming and yelling when Pulisic threw himself into the goal to score. Youth has prevailed so far. I’m one of the few that believe it can happen in SJ as well. Let’s enjoy this ride like it was 2002 all over again….

World Cup is over for Luchi. Time to show why he was the chosen one in San Jose.

time for Leitch to show why he was chosen. I wish the problem in SJ could be fixed with better coaching. San Jose has to get the roster and the culture sorted out first, for any coach to have a chance. what we learned from the Matias era (if we didn't know already): (a) coach should not be in charge of player procurement and (b) you can't coach your way out of a crap owner/GM situation.

so yeah, Wee Man, yourself, lots of smart soccer people seem to think Luchi is a good coaching choice. But will Fisher and Leitch build a roster for him to work with so that he doesn't become just the latest coaching flop in SJ? not seeing it yet.
