No secret that our boys had a hell of a game today and I have no doubts that English clubs will be looking to take vantage of some deals for Americans. The obvious ones: Weston McKinnie: I wish him to stay in Juventus, but thats just not going to happen now. Hes certainly going to go to a side that is established and no worse than a Europa conference side. My guess? Tottenham. Conte has already been linked before. Yunus Musah: Okay, this kid could be anywhere. Again, not that Valencia is a bad spot for him, but he just priced himself into a big move. Someone is going to splash cash, and again I think it will be no worse than a Europa Conference side. Sergino Dest: Alright Man U moneybags, time to pay up. Asking price just got a lot steeper too. Probably going to be arguably Ten Haag's highest priority signing once the Milan loan runs through Christian Pulisic: A lateral team is going to move in on him, again a Europa conference or above contender. Hes simply too good to stay benched at chelsea. If Chelsea wont use him, somebody like Newcastle will (and yes looks like Newcastle are firmly Champions League contenders at this juncture). Or.......maybe Juventus? Theyve been linked before... Walker Zimmerman: People still dont see it, think hes a little clumsy or whatever, but have you seen premier league defending at the bottom of the table? A club like Wolverhampton would graciously snap him up and he would probably walk into their 11. I hope he can latch on to a lower level EPL side, at worst an up and coming Championship side like Sheffield United, QPR, Blackburn, etc. Matt Turner: Its either immediate loan or directly contending for Ramsdale's spot. If he isnt starting, Clubs WILL be asking for him IMO. And if its the Championship, thats perfectly fine. I wanted Haji to do well enough to turn heads, but Im just not sure he did unfortunately. Maybe got some Championship level clubs excited.
Definitely McKennie (And to be clear... Spurs are seriously considering McKennie. There is real substance to the links)— Ben Jacobs (@JacobsBen) November 25, 2022
The English media has been salivating over Musah and as he's English there won't be any post-Brexit visa restrictions.
If West Ham still wants Aaron Long post-injury, which reportedly is the case, then there has to be someone who wants Zimmerman.
Musah....still only 19. He's been great so far this World Cup. Valencia is going to get paid a stack for him. If McKennie can repeat his England performance against Iran....he might turn some heads and garner an offer Juve can't refuse. Zimmerman wasn't going anywhere BEFORE that tackle.....he surely isn't going anywhere after it. Chelsea want too much for CP, and he hasn't shown anything yet at this WC to prove he's worth that outlay of cash. Honestly don't see anyone moving in January, as that tends to be the more expensive shopping window. Unless the EPL teams put stupid offers in, no one is moving until the summer window.
Jaden Sancho. Jude Bellingham. Musah. English clubs need to rethink their player development model. Smart English kids have to be influenced by how young those guys were able to establish themselves in the German and Spanish top flights, and how much that has helped their careers.
You mean scrapping it out in the English lower leagues isn't sharpening them enough? I thought going through the pro/rel gauntlet is what makes a true international player??? In all seriousness, more young English players could go abroad at younger ages to get playing time. It's clear that that pathway is not very open in the EPL currently. At least the very talented ones will. Imagine where Phil Foden could be right now had he gone to Germany or Spain and played more at an earlier age? Though I'd imagine Brexit makes it more complicated currently to take the same paths as Sancho, Bellingham and Musah.
No one has given the obvious answer yet: Tyler Adams has clearly increased his value the most through the first 2 matches. And it’s not even close.
Yeah I agree with that and Marsch is going to slap a 100 million dollar tag on Adams (read NOT FOR SALE)
We were not that good. We need to stop celebrating scoreless draws. It makes us look pathetic. That said, Tyler Adams. And Jedi is probably overdue.
There is no way any team in Europe will pay him what he learns in MLS. That's not meant as a knock on his play. He just has a big salary.
How big of a salary does he have that he can't earn the same in Europe? I mean I know Zimmerman makes 2 million a year which is insane for a defender in MLS.
Well... he and Musah. And Weah is probably looking pretty good right now as well. But I can't imagine that Leeds would allow Adams to leave either this winter or the next summer without the contents of multiple armored trucks being offered for him.
Think the midfield were really the ones who looked great, but then McKennie was poor against Wales. So, that's sort of Weston still, has varying performances. Weah is interesting, because he is best as a sort of throwback winger, but i think he could very good in the right fit. But the only real candidates for a Jan transfer are Musah and Weah, maybe Weston? But Juve would have to replace him too, need to identify a target and want enough to make a profit
With Zimmerman it’s not likely alot of teams will want to match what Nashville pays him or what Nashville thinks his transfer value is.

Adams likely has reached elite status tier in England given the rep at Leeds now further reinforced even more significantly at the highest level. He’s the kind of guy who can free up other players.
