Well, possession without end product counts for little... ...and some managers (Moriyasu) play poker better than others.

A bit disappointed by the latest friendlies, but at least they were just that - friendlies. Like some of you I was euphoric after watching the men's historic win against Germany yesterday.

For records: yesterday Juventus-Arsenal ended 1-1, and not even in a team plagued by injuries (Little, Hurtig and lately even Mead with ACL) Mana Iwabuchi managed to find some playing time. The coach basically preferred to play the same 11 for most of the game. I guess everyone is right that she should find another club, because she has no space whatsoever at Arsenal, where she's just considered a bench-warmer, On the other hand, Bayern München didn't start Saki Kumagai vs Barcelona and they were rightfully punished wth a 3-0 loss.
I really hope Ange win their game, even though I like Belle. It could be the last competitive match for Ange if they lose. Empress's Cup. Quater finals, semi finals and final TV schedule. https://www.jfa.jp/women/news/00031102/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter A couple of training matches this weekend... 26th - VONDS Ichihara FC Ladies vs Tsukuba FC Ladies 11:30 ko 27th - Nankatsu SC WINGS vs Sfida Setagaya FC 12:00 ko
Nojima score through Matsumoto to make it 2-0. Nojima were a bit lucky, because in the build up to the play there was a clear foul on one of the Niigata defenders which the ref did not see.
Shirai gets the equaliser for Niigata. It was just a bit too easy for Niigata. Nojima's keeper should have kept it out as well. Nojima has been the better team and should be in front, but Niigata started to play better once they scored. This is why teams have to punish the opposition when they go up two goals. Do not give them any hope.
Minamino scores Nojima's third on her birthday too. Nojima now lead 3-2. It is a much more even game now and I can definitely see Niigata equalising.
H.T.....Nagano 0 Beleza 0 Belezas first game in their new Coca Cola shirts...no goals but both sides have had their chances...game is almost impossible to watch because of the technical difficulty for the camera due to the strong direct sunlight and the deep shadows all over the pitch...may have to give up on this one if the sun doesn't go in
Nojima hang on to win 3-2. Not a bad game with both teams playing well at different points in the game. I think Nojima deserve the win, but they have to do better in defence. Sugita was very good today and was probably the difference. Her passing was excellent and Niigata gave her too much space. I like her and Fujiwara in the centre of the pitch with Ishida. It just gives Nojima more pace in their centre three. Minamino also worked incredibly hard off the ball and deserved her goal. The 18 year old winger Sasai continues to do good things, but she is still very green. If she can improve her vision and passing she could become a very dangerous player for Nojima. Michigami played well for Niigata with Shirai and Takikawa doing some good work. Sendai got hammered at home by Ohmiya. That is good for Ohmiya because they have looked pretty good so far this season.
Ueno scores from the penalty spot to give Hiroshima the lead. The foul was committed by the usually brilliant Takeshige; a very poorly timed tackle from her. Nice play from Tachibana to draw the foul.

I’m surprised no one here has mentioned Fujino’s goal yet. The skill and the confidence to even think about shooting from there. Kawasumi in commentary was certainly impressed.
