You are still going to have a problem in defining what full body means. Does there have to be a visual gap between the attacker and defender? If that's the case, you are still going to have controversial decisions as ARs might not be able to see the space depending on the angle.

    Visual gap
I would expect some controversy and the necessity of VAR to check the call.
To answer your question the answer is Yes,
a visual complete gap to be offsides would sound like proper terminology.
The attacker’s whole or entire body ahead of the last defender is deemed offside.
Any part of the body that is past the final defender is now onside.
    Basically All or Nothing

KSA… wow, historic moment. This is why World Cup is so amazing!

Oranje v Argentina in QF… still may happen, but looks unlikely now

"Don't cry for me Argentina". Where is Evita when she was really needed?

Both Mexico and Poland are far from inspiring. They are very mediocre, and have glaring weaknesses in the backline (though Mexico GK Ochoa is pretty solid).

I think a wounded and spirited Argentina team can/will win against both teams, and they may still end up top of the table when all said and done. Unless Argentina turn into a self-destruct mode after their loss :speechless:

Two back-to-back goal-less draws after an exciting KSA win

Mbappe looks really good. The way he speeds up, then slows down, then kick up another gear and speed up again, then the pin point pass to Giroud. It was fun to watch! He and Vinicius Jr are the best 2 wingers atm imho. Dumfries will need help (as in a team's efforts) as Timbers, De Ligt, De Vrij, Blind or Malacia will not be able to stop them.

  7. How do we get into collision with France?

It will be in the final, after NT defeats Brazil. Watch for Canada either tie or upset Belgium tomorrow.

I’ll say it again regarding Lewandowski and that is he needs service for all of his goal scoring abilty.
Has often been nullified often especially in recent times because he’s not an all rounded player. He is not a playmaker who combines with others.
Amazing goal scorer but cut off the creativity or supply to him and he’s not much.

Definitely need complete team defending to be switched on at all times to combat with his skill and pace.
Cannot play guys who do not run and lack pace and athleticism.

France keep shedding players due to injuries, now losing defender Lucas Fernandez for the rest of the tourney. But yeah… their attacking force is quite impressive with Mbappe and Griezmann firing all cylinders, and getting positive net contribution from Giroud, Dembele and Rabiot.

France has depth so I think they will be ok.
Germany stays true to their pressing style. If they can do this 90 min for every match, it will be difficult for their opponents. That Musiala 19 year old kid is fun to watch.

Japan is quickly becoming one of my favorite teams in (aside from Oranje, that is!) in this World Cup. Played with passion and energy. Heads down and kept digging until the final whistle. Threw their bodies to the ground fast and hard. No cheap fouls or time wasting. Germany were out-worked. Amazing result!

Spain finds a new generation replacing Xavi-Iniesta and back with the triangle movement young squad. I will not be surprised if they may win it all, sooner or later with these players.

Well said. Maybe they incorporate the spirit of Bushido ? They probably learned a lot from the painful loss to Belgium in the round of 16 in 2018. I hope they can defeat Costa Rica (so Germany may end up eliminated).

How is that not 2nd pk for Canada? Ball came back from Belgium player and clearly another foul by Belgium player, but it is offside?

Canada got jobbed, deserved at least another PK if not 2. Still proud of Canada, they played really well and deserved at least a pt. Light years better than the 86 squad.

    What a player Musiala.
Meanwhile his Bayern Munich teammate & our 19 year old Ryan Gravenberch better get his ass in gear and pick up his attitude, performance, & overall professionalism when club football returns.
He really should be at this World Cup with his ability but he’s let himself down.
This miss has to motivate him to new heights and wake him up.

Truthfully the Referees should be sent home along with the VAR crew.
How do they not know the rules?
Backpass is NOT offsides but miss the tackle as well? They’re not paying attention.
    What a disgrace.
That said terrible penalty by Davies.
I’ve watched him play several times and he’s a talent no doubt but it’s his incredible pace that is his best attribute.
Thought he’s a little sloppy with his touch at times.

FIFA needs to right that wrong and send the referee crew along with the VAR staff home.
    It’s just an absolute disgrace.
    Crushing loss.

Davies was injured before WC. The excitement of playing in the WC rushed him to meet match fitness. He should have been slowly sub in 2nd half (like LVG did with Memphis). He is not in his best form, sloppy, trying too hard (e.g. trying to dribble past 3 Belgian players). He could have led other like David or Hutchinson to take PK. We would not know if the players and coach may agree if PK then perhaps Davies will take. They missed many chances and failed to covert where Belgium showed the experiences as the converted 1 chance out of a few and win whereas Canada was much better team. The chance to advance is much tougher now as Canada needs to defeat Croatia and Cameroon. Belgium does not look good at all and may not go far. However, having Lukaku back will make big difference for them.
Let's see what group G and H do tomorrow (especially Brazil and Portugal and if any more upset).
