French, Brazilian Portuguese, and I think Arabic were the ones available if memory serves me right. I will keep everyone posted on what happens this time around.
Good tidbits from the links above I want to emphasize: For the first time in FOX Sports’ World Cup history, every announcer, reporter and analyst covering FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ will travel to the host country. All 64 matches will feature FOX Sports play-by-play announcers and match analysts calling matches on-location, while all pre-and-postgame programming will originate from the FOX Sports set in Doha. -FOX Sports will produce every FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ match in 4K. Additionally, every match will stream live in 4K on the FOX Sports app.
For cord cutters without access to DVR, Fox is having replays of all the games available on their Tubi app. https://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/tubi-fifa-world-cup-channel/
Already subscribed to IPTV a couple of weeks ago so I can get familiar with it before the World Cup begins. So will follow the World Cup on ITV, BBC & beIN int'l (and maybe TSN assuming they use the int'l commentary). Just undecided on the Formuler. Anybody familiar with it? Is it worth it? Not enduring another tournament with the FOX muppetry.
The set top box that connects you to the internet. Apparently it's tailored for those mainly interested in connecting to IPTV. And they designed the my online 2 app which seems to have a really good interface. Having a guide that let's you browse like on regular TV is key , imo. It's #6 on this list : https://kodifireiptv.com/2022/09/29/6-best-iptv-boxes-for-2022-stream-live-tv-from-anywhere/ But they mention in that article that it runs "stock android" not "android tv". But not sure if important.
Was not familiar with the device. Thanks for the info. I've been using the Nvidia Shield for the past 4 years and couldn't be happier. Same IPTV service as well which I don't think I can mention here. DM me if you need one.

Buffalo-Detroit may be over by the first quarter so I am glad that is the one conflicting on Thanksgiving. In fact most of those NFL games I see in that post are mediocre. This season there's just a lot of average teams in the League. Those College Football games though are much more competitive and traditional rivalries so it sucks they conflict with the World Cup.
I think there are usually a few college football games on Black Friday too, no? But thanks for this information. All easy choices for me, of course, but still useful information to have for when I plan on going to a pub to watch. Instead of having hundreds of options for pubs on a non-football day, I think there are only a half dozen or so near me that would only show the World Cup when NFL games are on.

I find it hilarious they chose two Mexican color commentators for the Argentina-Mexico match but it makes sense. Mexico is (obviously) the cash cow demographic. And having Maxi Rodriguez commentate that match would have made the booth too pro-Argentina (since Cantor is also Argentinian.)
I have no idea if it was Andres in 2006, but the Spanish-language broadcast was a few seconds behind the ESPN/ESPN2 broadcasts. (This was when ESPN was still not entirely in HD and I don't think ESPN2HD had launched, but whatever.) Anyway, since the Spanish-language broadcast was a few seconds behind ESPN, fun times were had. If that was Andres in 2006, it's great to hear he'll be back.
Took it upon myself to create a "world TV guide" for the upcoming World Cup. If you are traveling the world - whether by jet or VPN - here is a list of channels showing the matches across the world as well as links to the TV guides of the individual channels (where available). Hope it's a help to people. https://soccertvblog.com/worldcup2022-tv/ SA
