EPL finishes in less than a month - so probs time for a thread. Do need a thread title?? Seems appropriate given its grubby origins to start with this bit of news which makes Gaz Nevs decision to take the state broadcasters money look grubby too. Qatar issues rules saying TV crews covering 2022 World Cup cannot film in areas where migrant workers live & agree they will not produce reports that are “inappropriate or offensive to the Qatari culture, Islamic principles” or face criminal liability https://t.co/Iy3nNRtXjg— Tommy Vietor (@TVietor08) October 15, 2022

the opening credits for the WC look nice but this one just doesn't sit well with me. barely interested and might not even watch
You'll watch. Fifa clowns, corruption and whatever else you might throw in aside, you'll still watch. You'll miss out on a starlet announcing himself on the world stage, an old favorite rolling back the years, an amazing run by one of the least favored countries, a traditional team lifting the trophy and England golden generation 2.0 flattering to deceive yet again. You can't not watch.
Don't listen to him. You'll watch and enjoy the spectacle inside of the cluster fcuk of a governing body. Spectacular goals and unforgettable moments like the rvp diving header or owiran dribble that drew comparison with maradona s goal just for a brief moment. You can't not watch.
You're not wrong... lol And I had to suffer through the Berhalter ball for years as a Crew fan too... Ugh.
No, I won't watch. It's quite simple and easy for me - I don't really care for international football. I'm a club guy. If the USA were competent, that might change, but I don't watch just to watch. I have to be invested in a team I'm watching - and I'm not invested in the USA's offerings this go-around, especially after the abysmal performance keeping us from even going last year.
Fifa's shameless 'stick to football' plea on Qatar will have exactly the opposite effect | @GARSIDEKhttps://t.co/eFqjDllrTf— i sport (@iPaperSport) November 4, 2022
Gaz getting some stick for taking the money from the state broadcaster after some of his previous comments … This has to be one of the most satisfying moments I have ever seen on the BBC.The woke, holier than thou, virtue-signalling, wet wipe, Gary Neville, called out for his colossal hypocrisy.Even the BBC wont let him get away with it. 😂 pic.twitter.com/uDWJdUK3Tj— Lee Harris (@addicted2newz) November 5, 2022
