    Yngwie Malmsteen!

Two guitarists in HS, one a EVH fan, the other Clapton. They used to razz each other. Clapton fan would make a face and go "oh my god!" as he pretended to run fingers up guitar neck. :p

The Mrs said the Stop & Shop 18 pack of eggs was $8 now. She forgot to get them at Costco.

    Everything is more expensive now.

I got my first real taste of grocery pricing during COVID. I hadn't really done much cooking until then ("much" is doing a lot of work. I lived in two apartments where I turned on the stove when I moved in to make sure it worked, and when I moved out to show the landlord that it worked. From 1981 to 2020 with fewer than ten cooked meals under my belt. Then COVID made me have to cook every day. I became aware of how much more Publix charges for stuff like shrimp and fruit salads than Kroger. But I did good. I went from February to, like, October without eating a bit of junk food. No Snickers, no fruit punch, no chips, no nothing. I actually lost three pounds because no crap was going into my body. I learned to pan-sear pretty much everything, and I now know I can eat my own cooking without going crazy with boredom or killing myself.

Avian flu had a big impact on supply so egg prices are up.

What's interesting is the fancy name brand eggs (Egglands Best) and the brown eggs are now cheaper than the regular store brand white eggs. I guess maybe those chickens are raised in a way that doesn't promote bird diseases quite so much.

Reading Browder's Freezing Order reveals I can still be shocked by Trump's criminality

I had forgotten about the Trump Tower meeting between Kremlin goons and Jr - goons who were knee deep in fighting the Magnitsky act

Browder makes a good argument this was in fact Putin's highest priority and the quid pro quo was clear. The problem Trump had was getting any of his treason through Congress

Indeed (and this seems quaint now) Chuck Grassley was instrumental in promoting Browder's crusade in a senate hearing in '17 which effectively killed the question off.

That's weird since the color of eggs has nothing to do with anything except the colors of feathers on the birds that laid them.

And we buy "free range" eggs at the farmer's market. Same price they've been for four years. $5, which no longer seems as expensive (they're huge most of the time, and damn those yokes are shiny and bright).

Much tougher shells as well, meaning less chance of an accidental breakage.

You might’ve missed the news about Eastman’s emails because of all of the off-topic clutter.

    Or was your post art?

Ali Alexander, one of the people responsible for 1/6 and has been prosecuted has been trying his thing with Brazil.

It's worrying that despite prosecutions people are still trying this.
