Adam Wharton has the potential to be special. Philips has lost his place to Scott Wharton ayala and hyam but he's only just turned 17 so he will be a big star
Kaide Gordon has been out injured since February/March. A growth related pelvis injury that requires extensive rehab apparently.
Shoretire is coming back from an injury also. Alfie Devine has a hamstring problem. Charlie Webster played on Wednesday but that was his first game back for a while so perhaps that's why he wasn't selected. Soonsup-Bell seems to be fit though so it's a surprise not to see him included.
Zak Sturge (Chelsea) has withdrawn from the squad and has been replaced by Ben Chrisene (Kilmarnock, on loan from Aston Villa)
I mean from the setup but I did post in the wrong thread. It appears he's doing well in PL2 at the moment too. He's a curious one as he's always been very highly rated but on has 4 England caps. It does feel like one who we might lose.
I dunno, I mean if he was serious about committing to Jamaica long term they would have included him in their senior squad just to get him to commit. I would be surprised if we lose him this early in his career.
UEFA has our formation against Montenegro as 4-4-2. Not sure if that's correct though. Beadle in goal. A back four of Rico Lewis, Ben Nelson, Ashley Phillips & Luke Chambers. George Hall, Gyabi, Braybrooke & Lewis Hall in the midfield. Sonny Perkins & Mubama up front. Braybrooke who generally had the armband for the U18 team last season has retained the captaincy.
Two changes from the last match. Back four remains the same. Omari Forson replaces Darko Gyabi. Cannonier is up front rather than Mubama. Georgia are usually a difficult team to beat in these youth qualifiers, expecting a tough game. As I recall last U19 qualifier against them saw Tammy Abraham score in a 2-1 win.
The Official write up is out. Confirms that they only need a point against Denmark on Tuesday (At 1pm BST) to confirm qualification for the Elite round but that would only be needed depending on the result of Denmark v Montenegro later today. https://www.englandfootball.com/art...-mens-under-19s-georgia-match-report-20220924
Sonny Perkins' remarkable season continues after he scored an hat-trick for the England U19s in a 6-0 victory against Georgia U19s.⚽⚽⚽ v Georgia U19⚽ v Montenegro U19s⚽ v Southampton U21s⚽ v Nott'm Forest U21s⚽⚽ v Aston Villa U21s⚽ v Norwich U21s⚽ v Derby U21s pic.twitter.com/PHui2cbpER— LUFCDATA (@LUFCDATA) September 24, 2022 Looks like he linked up with Braybrooke well. Same goalkeeper & back four for all three qualifiers. Not a surprise as they're by far the best unit imo and Denmark away is a real challenge. At least progession to the next stage is already assured. Two changes are Gyabi & Wharton replacing Forson & Cannonier.
