There was an offside before, but Lobotka was ready to decide the game with that pass and Lozano once again showed that he can't put in a decent header...
Okay, not just his head is the problem, can't even hit empty net, and this guy said he wanted to be sold to a better club. He should be polishing the shoes here...
Spezia spend 90 minutes inside their own box and then play like an NFL specials team when they conceded lol. Ted Lasso must be the coach.
This was a massive 3 points. Showed character to win against a triple stacked bus after a big European match.
It seemed like Spalletti had a few plays up his sleeve. He must be working on getting players in the right positions, not just to score, but protect against the break. These days every gane feels like a Spaletti masterclass. Easiest thing to do is get numbers up and cross. So simple, but some teams get so busy trying to pass the ball into the net they forget. Better than Spezia and their hail Marys. I won't be surprised to see one of their players end up as a kicker in the NFL.
Our defense looks solid. Mario Rui is going to lose his spot to Olivera. Ndombele needs to get fit and Demme needs to come back. Our midfield is strong but we are light. Elmas needs to improve his game. He has skill, can shoot and head but his decision making is awful and he is selfish. Raspadori and where he should play remains a problem. Lozano needs to be kicked out. We can’t pay that fraud 9M a year.
Agree about Olivera. Ndombele looks lost to be honest. He's always caught out of position, and is not a good Labotka sub. Agree about Elmas as well. Raspadori just needs time I hope. Team can't change it's entire structure to suit his game. Lozano is brutal. Politano can be useful at times, but he can also look brutal as well, plus is another selfish player. The right side of the offense is the biggest issue on the team right now.
Lozano offers decent width and a crossing threat. He's a better winger and team player than Politano. Puts his head down and works for the team. Politano is a better player only in the sense he has a bit more skill to drive at goal himself, but not enough to justify his selfish attitude. He has to learn he'd be a better player for us by doing his job the way Lozano does.
