I don't think he is... but I am not sure it is all that important to rank our players across positions. What is important is that we have quality players/options/depth at each position.

Sure, losing at this year’s Arsenal by one goal is probably an acceptable outcome for a team like Fulham, BUT, we had the lead. Just like against Liverpool where we gave up the lead twice, we have to think that we will get a result when we get leads. I think the team doesn’t really believe it yet.

Yeah, Fulham was very close to making a mockery of my initial over/under - 8 points from the first 8 games. Now, with 5 points from 4 games, and with …

    v Brighton
    @ Tottenham
    v Chelsea
    @ Nottingham Forest

… left before the international break, and the team playing quite well, I think the over is a slightly better bet. We shall see - squad depth remains an issue. Big game on Tuesday.

All tough matches. They need to get something against a tough Brighton at home today. Depth is an issue. Supposedly William is at Fulham today for a medical on a 1 yr deal.

Brighton has looked sharp so far. Very organized and disciplined.

Interesting to see what happens. I am optimistic about ARob’s future. I think he is becoming an elite LB. To my eye his defense (on and off the ball) has improved by leaps and bounds, and he could always provide width and good crosses. And I expect his play in close quarters to get better as well, because he just seems able and willing to continue to get better. Maybe Kurosawa is an investment in both the present and the future.

I don’t think ARob will be at Fulham for much longer.

Another solid game from Jedi. Two great long balls in the 1st half and two great centers in the 2nd that just didn't result in goals. Pretty clutch on D too. I thought the yellow was debatable despite the lady announcer gushing over Lamptey. Huge win for Fulham. Gotta say their killing of stoppage time was brilliant.

Jedi's defense was very good today - solid all around. The Yellow was bullshit - exact same foul the ref had non-called on BHA 30 seconds earlier. Jedi's defense was top-notch and mostly positional- always in the right place for an easy play rather than scrambling for spectacular. I think he was told to stay back more (and let Tete get forward more) so that was coaching.

On offense, Jedi can read the script- put the ball into the box and let Mitro head in goals. Jedi sticks to the script. It's a good script (so far).

Posters on Friends of Fulham are raving about Jedi's performance in this game and his play all season. Here is one post from a Fulham ticket holder who watched the game in person:

"But what’s making us work is that both fullbacks are being given huge workloads and are well up for it. I’d be surprised if there is a better pair of fullbacks in the league than Robinson and Tete. There might be flashier types going forward but both are defensive geniuses. Poor Solly March was absolutely flummoxed by Robinson. Those two are getting through so much work by playing narrow and tight that our CB’s are getting something of an armchair ride - both played well, but in the way Hughes and Hangeland often played well - with a big shield all around. Our system works because opposition are invited to go around us and find that they can’t."

He was my MVP for WCQ given his amazing production at a historically weak position.

Physical, solid, competent LBs are worth their weight in gold. ARob has proven to be one of those.

Maybe the best left back the US has ever had. Unless you count John O’Brien.

Sounds like Kluivert was denied a work permit. It’s not just Americans. Suck for Fulham- really need that depth on the wing. All the more likely now that Kurzawa will play on the wing.

Joe Bryan has yet to even make the bench this season. Transfermarkt says that he had a broken hand in the 1st game... but I am not sure if that is still holding him off the team sheet. There are no others LBs on the roster. Kurzawa would make a lot of sense but it is possible that it could lead to Jedi being benched if he played LB and went nuts. It would be my hope that Kurzawa would be brought in to play LW and just provide cover for Jedi at LB for Antonee so he doesn't have to play every single minute.

Bryan wants to transfer (to Championship level) and the team will let him. He's a well-liked player and I think they would prefer to keep him as depth but they will let him go because they (and the other players) like him a lot- don't want to stand in his way and risk the adverse consequences in the clubhouse.
