I don't think anyone expected Chelsea, in 12th, to be above both Liverpool and Manchester United, after 3 games. I'm sure the table will adjust as the season progresses.
Doubtful. My guess is that Rodrigo Moreno will keep his pace and eclipse the 50 goal mark on the season.
No offence but teams like Leeds, Forest, Villa and others have many fans that feel a sense of entitlement. We won the League, we won the European Cup!!! We deserve to be at the top table!! No, no you don't. The only teams that deserve to be at the top table are the teams that stay up and the teams that get promoted from below. Trophies, stadium size, owner wallet, none of these things matter. You don't have a divine right to be in the top league. LLF - remember this? I do - Scum fans
We are all shocked that football fans in the 80s were violent! They burned a motorbike and 17 people were injured. I may have to drop the LLF,LM moniker after being reminded of this. I guess I'm now a FLLF,LM leading F is for former.
We make such sacrifices for our sporting loves, but this is a bridge too far for me. I'll never be a FLLF,LM. It's the LLFL,LM life for me, for life!
edit I was at the game in 1990 as a 14 yo. Never seen anything like it or since. I knew people that were "injured" as you put it. We (Bournemouth) only just last season were able to play a game on a bank holiday as a result of Leeds coming to town 30 years ago. Never really liked Leeds since then and would be very happy to see Leeds relegated and bankrupt just for the fans, lifelong or otherwise.

Wow. That's awesome. He was rumored to Benfica last summer or the year before and I never believed it could happen, but man did I want it to. Really hard to hate Cavani.
Valencia has 1 goal in 3 games, and it was a Carlos Soler penalty. We need Cavani lol. I’ve always been a fan. Older strikers do well in La Liga (Benzema, Lewandowski, Joselu, Aduriz, Suarez, etc) so as long as he can get… 15ish goals I’ll be happy.
Is Cucho spilling the beer out of the bottom of the can?? (Yeah, I know that takes away from the narrative of his catch-and-gulp being immediately legendary...)
The Biggest Club in the World, Sport Lisboa e Benfica, has had a bizarre and fascinating market and it continued yesterday. Julian Weigl off to Gladbach on loan with an option or obligation to buy. (Take care of him @kgilbert78. He was easily one of our 2-3 best performers the past 2 years while the club was mired in chaos and crisis). They sign Julian Draxler from PSG out of nowhere after a long courtship of Braga's Ricardo Horta collapses due to some weird shit with Malaga owning like 75% of his sell on fee and Braga refusing to sell because they don't want Malaga getting that money. (Great job, UEFA, FIFA, and everyone involved.) Finally, after Morato goes down with an injury, and with Vertonghen off to Anderlecht they bring John Brooks in on a free. It's a low risk and needed move for Benfica, though I am unsure how it works out for Brooks. Even now, he might be 3rd choice CB behind Otamendi and an 18 year old Silva. But when Morato (October) and Lucas Verissimo (end of Sept) come back he's definitely behind them as well. At best he's a 4th choice CB at Benfica when everyone is healthy. But, there are worse places to sit the bench that beautiful Lisboa. Welcome John!
I like him too. I might be off base, but I think part of it might be that he is so small. It's one thing if you are Messi or Greizman, or even Dries Mertens. But Kluivert hasn't really put it all together. I had such high hopes for him at Roma. His first match he came on as a sub and just took over the wing and provided a game winning assist to Dzeko. But, for as much as he seems to create, his doesn't find the goal or that final ball often enough. He was a tireless runner at Roma and worked hard even when overmatched defensively. I think Gattuso will find a lot to like in him from that perspective. I'm really interested to see how he does for Valencia, and your take after seeing him for several games.
Well, our options at either winger are extremely limited, so whether its on the left (I think that is where he normally plays) or right, he’ll get chances. Plus, it doesn’t hurt that his dad played here for a season.
