Looks like they’re doing maintenance on the portal right now.

Actually I was in the resale portal and did not even notice this. Perhaps they will collect all the sales from the weekend and open the portal Monday?

Back in '93 I was at the Australia v Argentina WC play off qualifier in Sydney, Maradona's comeback game. 1-1 draw there but unfortunately lost to a freakish deflected own goal in the 2nd leg. Magic night seeing the legend in the flesh. The whole crowd was in awe, even us Aussies. I actually grew up with Argentinian neighbours in Melbourne. Some brutal backyard soccer games with him. Later as we got older and started going out he of course would get all the girls.
We actually gave a pretty much full strength Argentina a 4-1 hiding back in 1988 in a minor tournament in Sydney. Argentina were complacent and shell shocked with our ferocity that night. Everything was going in for us that night.
Maybe the Socceroos will meet up with Argentina again in the R16 in Qatar, 1C v 2D. Obviously finishing 2nd would be a miracle for us but there's always some hope in football and it's fun to dream this scenario. I actually have tickets for this game.

Could this portal maintenance be to apply anti-bot measures?

These guys in FIFA can't even send out a notice of pre-sale tickets properly, so I doubt they are planning for some advance technology to fight bots.

I hope you will do better in Qatar. In my opinion Argentina is the best team there. It is all about to play and die for your country

When will we get the official (and some unofficial) 2022 World Cup Songs? Rumor is that South Korean group BTS will do the song. This 2006 song and video is still my favorite. Gives me goosebumps and gets me pumped for the World Cup every time!!! So many great clips! The scary bald ref from Italy (I think), the celebrations, the ups and downs! Beckham free kick on Valderamma and Colombia! Bora doing the Sign of the Cross! Maradona v. England!

The 1C v 2D r16 ticket I have was part of the 4 game stadium ticket package (Series C) I bought back in March before the draw was even made. I really lucked it there, if Argentina finish 1st of course. The other r16 game is 1B v 2A. 2 group games ended up as CanVMor & EcuVSen. Happy with that haul, 2 potential blockbusters and 2 bland, routine r16 knock-out games....

Good on ya...but don't underestimate any game. part of the fun in the WC lies on the unpredictability of certain games. also i'll be there at 1B v 2A. I'm hopin it's either ENG v SEN or WAL v SEN

100% agree with you. Have watched just about every WC game on TV (mostly in the middle of the night here in Australia) since '82 and there is always surprises, crazy scenarios and wtf just happened there moments in the group stages. Games then tend to get a bit more tighter as the pressure ramps up. I was only being a bit facetious above.

1982 World Cup was the first one where all the matches were televised - that was an epic year for WC fans.

Hey folks, does anyone know if TST holders normally sit together? E.g.: I have a Brazil TST7, would my guests and myself be seating together with other Brazil TST7 holders?

That one was very good. My favourite remains Waka Waka. The vibe in S. Africa was fantastic and it is one of my favourite WCs for quite a while - a rare year when a new Country breaks through into the winners circle - and the that final between Spain and the Netherlands was great - reminiscent of some of the great finals in the 20th century, And of course, Shakira was so hot in that video:
