I need this set to an 8-bit montage of Cucho, Lucas, Santos, and Mensah celebrating after CB9K is vanquished and the Crew win MLS Cup.
Everything looks adorable as 8-bit sprites. That reminds me of a wedding story. We had Link and Zelda cake toppers. When it came time to cut the cake, Zelda theme music played. Sometime later into the night, a caricature artist pulled me aside. She said that she worked weddings all the time, but that our wedding cake ceremony caught her off guard in a good way. She had teared up when she heard the Zelda music, and she wanted to let me know how cool she thought the whole thing was.
We have been over this 100 times. It's all yellow or GTFO Don't make me get even more slightly snarky.
Interesting. I found it a little odd that Williams came out at halftime on Wednesday. We didn't really mention it too much at the time. I figured it was somewhat about rotation and somewhat about trying to get Degenek some playing time because he hasn't played much lately. Presumably, Degenek draws back in tomorrow night. We'll see what kind of shape he's in if he needs to go 90 after going 45.
Didn't Williams come out because he was dehydrated? Either way, I sure hope Degenek is ready to go the distance.
Dehydrated due to having the flu (or something similar). Caleb Porter said Williams has flu-like symptoms and was struggling with them during the game which led to him having to come out.Said not being able to go to a back five was a factor late in the game. #Crew96 https://t.co/wftDid8XoV— Jacob Myers (@_jcmyers) August 5, 2022
I honestly don't understand why people who follow soccer are so stunned at the idea that teams try to defend when they have the lead.
This game scares the shit out of me. I've repeatedly said that the point-of-no-return last season was the disastrous week where we lost twice at home to DC and then Atlanta, conceding 7 goals in the process. What were the dates of those matches? 8/4 and 8/7. Well, here we are with another two home-match week, and the dates are 8/3 and 8/6. We already have one loss. I'm having serious Deja Vu right now. Granted, we're in a better position in the standings now than we were last season (I think, anyway), but a loss in this game (which, let's be realistic, isn't unreasonable to predict given the opponent) could firmly plant our second foot on the road to ruin.
It looks like tickets are almost sold out. https://am.ticketmaster.com/crew/vi...7.1893240290.1659243128-1651088102.1643690191 Plus, if any of you have kids, get there early for a Crew folder for back to school.
Yeah your link is showing a sellout while the app is showing about the same amount remaining as there were for the Montreal game, and that's the non resale tickets
The announced attendance was 19,010. Capacity is 20,371. Damn near a sell out. As for the Nordecke not being full, at the risk of beating yet another dead horse: It is not possible to purchase Nordecke tickets directly from the franchise, which means it's sold out. However, the Nordecke Organization owns all of the non-season tickets in the section and we did not sell our entire inventory for Wednesday - there were about 250 remaining when I left work at 5pm. We, as a group, could debate whether or not that's a Nordecke sell out just as long as we could debate Mike Clark being CoH worthy
Why does the Nordecke (org) get to exclusively sell tickets to the Nordecke (section)? Legit question. Other than ‘just cuz, that’s the way its always been’ I don’t see the point.
