Anyone know if Fox is planning on showing any of the UEFA U19 Championships starting on Saturday?

ESPN showed the entire U17 event last month but now I guess Fox has the rights to that.

Costa Rica v New Zealand must be kicking off any second. Still no sight of it on FOX.

Edit: Okay, here we go. Telecast begins seconds before kickoff. No build-up, anthems, lineups or anything.

Fox up to its old tricks: delayed games have news crawl with spoilers for the UEFA game that is airing on delay. I wish Fox would stick to MLS and USA NT games and get out of the soccer game all together.

Don't know about Fox, but Vix has them showing up in the "proximamente" queue.

I think Vix is airing some of the CONCACAF U-20 matches as well

Thanks. I'll check them out on VIX if Fox doesn't air them.

Just noticed that Sunday’s Serbia v Israel match is listed on my Espn3 app. Didn’t see any of the other matches.

FS1 showed the 2026 host-city selection show yesterday. If you missed it, consider yourself lucky. I feel like the show could have used Craig Burley just to smack the silliness out of everybody and to call people out for their BS ("Since 1994, MLS has grown into one of the best leagues in the world." :ROFLMAO: )

    Did someone actually say that?
Average league that to be fair has grown with new stadiums, but it’s tough watching matches played on Fieldturf or with NFL lines still.
MLS actually started playing games in 96.
    Lol

They are all on YouTube in English language. I guess no one bought the rights so they are free to all

I just noticed now they are on ESPN3. Weird considering I didn't think ESPN had rights to UEFA competitions anymore. I guess maybe they still have the youth events.

The business aspect of the league (and some, if not all teams) was founded in 1994 with plans to play games in 1995.

He wasn't wrong from a certain point of view.

Understood but I was talking about the first match played. The devil is in the details. Lol

Ian Darke will call WC’22 matches on FOX, which is a very good thing methinks. This comes from The Athletic today…

“Darke, who works for ESPN in the United States and BT Sport in the United Kingdom, will be with Fox on a short-term loan, a source told The Athletic. He joins lead announcer John Strong and new play-by-play broadcaster Jacqui Oatley on the team for the tournament, which begins Nov. 21 in Qatar.”

That’s a good set of PBP personnel. Assuming 3 is enough.

Won't they need four sets when the final games of the group stage hit?

Hopefully it’s someone like Jon Champion or Derek Rae.
Also in need of better analyst.
    Stewart Robson would be great.

I’m good with all them. I was thinking of Derek Rae when I wrote my last post. Actually Jon Champion I’ve kind of grown weary of.

Jon Champion used to be my favorite announcer when he was in a one-man booth doing world feed matches. I'm sure he's just as good as he always was, but putting him together with Twellman has ruined him by association for me.

Is Fox Soccer Plus free now? I’m able to watch Genoa vs Modena replay now free. Before this it would say content not available when I’d click on an event on Fox Soccer Plus. I’m watching through the fox sports app on my Amazon fire cube.

I was also able to start watching the match on a free preview, but got denied access after I signed in with my cable provider (FS1 and FS2 are part of my package, but not FS+). So my guess is no, no free access to FS+ outside of an introductory free preview period.

I’m logged in with my provider and still get in on my Amazon cube in my living room but not my fire stick in my bedroom. Very weird but enjoying Aussie Rules and Serie B while I have it.
