Kaderabek and Jankto as wingbacks actually works for our system. We have crap centerbacks so maybe doing what Chelsea does and have a back 3 with Coufal as kind of the rightback of the centerbacks and a more offensive wingback (kaderabek) would work. We lack a left back as well so solves 2 problems. Also our biggest assets are our striker (schick), and mids with Barak and Soucek. Just put a DM and more offensive mid next to Soucek, and have Barak play as a #10 with Schick. 5-3-2.

Hmm, if everyone realistic is healthy the most on form lineup is probably then.

    Vaclik ; Zima - Kalas - Coufal ; Jankto - Sadilek - Barak - Soucek - Kaderabek - Schick

That's not a bad shape with lots of box to box players honestly.

Offensive subs : Hlozek, Kuchta and Vydra for various central and wing options

This is where it starts getting ugly...

Midfield sub : oof, could really use Provod getting healthy enough to help, other than that the out of form version of Kral or maybe inexperienced Krejci II?

Defensive sub: ..... let's hope we don't need one, but Celustka or Kudela if he is back to match fitness.

Silhavy did mention a 3-4-3 formation when asked about the left back situation (this was from an interview in December), but also acknowledged playing Kaderabek on his offside (this is still the most likely variant).

This is where he simply failed last autumn in: 1) Not experimenting with a different system and 2) Not testing Sadilek at left back in our traditional formation.

There’s still Holes and Sevcik, both of whom are realistically ahead of Kral in the current depth chart. Not too worried about midfield with everyone available, although Provod before his injury provided an entirely different dynamic.

    I'd say something like this.
    upload_2022-2-23_10-40-51.png

and on the attack it essentially turns into a 3 at the back formation with Coufal also being able to push forward to overload the right and have Holes cover that spot.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is an exodus from Russian clubs in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

Not really a fan of leaving Germany for MLS at that age, but an interesting move nonetheless. I believe he is actually moving in the summer rather than right away seeing as this team isn't active yet (expansion). Not sure what he will do in the autumn besides prep for next season.

******** Putin, and I still hope he finds a way to move, but good for Kuchta scoring on his debut for Lokomotiv Moscow.

Hlozek needs to leave the czech league and Dortmund are really good at developing talent. I'd love him to go there.

Denis Alijagic has left Slavia for Olympiacos for what sounds like a ~500K EUR price with some sell on clause, in what will probably be the most surprising move this summer.

Alijagic is a youth national team member that some see a lot of potential in, and also eligible for Bosnia & Herzegovina. This is a surprise move for 2 reasons:

    1) Slavia and Olympiacos are pretty similar situations, and moving to a new country after just turning 19 seems like a bit of a risk for a similar big club in a small league situation

    2) While Alijagic has absolutely dominated youth leagues and even FNL (2. Liga) the first half of last season, he is coming off a pointless spring loan to Liberec in which he barely made the field.

If he actually gets a chance or a more meaningful loan from Olympiacos this could be a great move for a young striker. The dud loan probably lowered his value in Slavia's eyes, and he is apparently not personally liked and seems to be vocally upset at the lack of chance in the A team also play a role... although to be fair Slavia aren't exactly stacked at striker with the ghost of Krmencik's career having received many minutes last season.

Krmencik has joined Kudela in Indonesia, apparently some German coach in Jakarta has decided to throw more money than they are worth at passed their prime Czech league players.

Krmencik was apparently a backup plan as they had be linked with (ex-)Plzen's Jean-David Beauguel who opted to go to the Saudi league for his big payday. Beauguel is a much much better player than Krmencik at this point (I've repeatedly referred to the ghost of Krmencik's career this season) so quite the drop-off, but perhaps he is still good enough for Indonesia as he really wasn't for our league.

Kuchta is leaving Russia to go back to Prague, although Sparta this time. He needed to move with the situation in Ukraine and restrictions on Russian teams, but the destination was both a bit disappointing and not going to win him many friends.

    Huge get for Sparta though.

Speaking of Kral, I wonder what happens with him. Likely needs to move to a lower Italian side or something like the dutch league. His next move will likely make or break his career.

His representation commented this week on the back of a random online generated Sparta rumor and said that Bundesliga is their focus.

Alex Kral is about to sign with Schalke 04 according to reports straight from the clubs twitter.

I've heard it is another loan on some reports, but it actually seems to be a special dispensation where he can suspend his contract with Spartak due to restrictions on Russian teams.

That is a good move. The german league seems to work well for Czechs, and Schalke is back in the top flight. He will likely get good minutes there.

Jankto is definitely leaving Getafe, a Spanish source is rumoring him to Sparta (hard to imagine since Jankto isn't just former Slavia but a fan). I think his injury last year plus mediocre form before may rule him out of a top league, but I think he could still get a decent offer from like Ligue 1 at least.

Apparently a few Italian teams (Lecce and Sampdoria) are trying to purchase Slavia's promising youngster Daniel Samek; the 18-year-old made 19 league appearances for Slavia last year and at times showed a lot of promise. Slavia actually don't seem to be demanding much (reportedly ~2 Million EUR), presumably they will include a % of next sale clause.

Not sure I fully get Slavia's transfer policy this year, it seems to be aimed at signing young players with resale value, but then why would you let an 18 yo with first team experience go for such a low cost.

Sources in Italy seem to be confirming that Samek is headed to Lecce. He likely would have been landed from Slavia this year since they have fewer injuries, but still letting an 18 yo with meaningful first team experience go for 2 million to a lower table Serie A team seems weird.

    Hope it works out.

Hlozek scored less than 5 minutes into his Bayer debut, and Schick also scored...

That said, they still lost 4-3 to a 3rd Division team in the cup.

Watching Bayer Leverkusen - Dortmund match. Hlozek came on at half-time and is making a decent case for a starting position (although overall he's been just above average), but he replaced someone that was playing terrible in the first half and he's shown flashes with a few slick passes and moments of control... including setting up a blown chance that leads to...

This is a match Schick will want to forget, he's done everything decently well except finish which is his primary job. He's blown 2 chances with just the keeper to beat in a match that they are behind 1-0.

Yea I watched that game too. Schick's movement off the ball was very good, but seems rusty. Hlozek also seems like he will fit in well, but there will be some growing pains for him. German league has a lot better defenses and keepers.

Atalanta are apparently interested in Adam Karabec. Normally I'm one to say maybe spend another year or two before making a jump, but Sparta aren't playing and Europe + he's showing signs of regressing there. So I'm more inclined to say the change would do him good.

It would also free up more playing time for Krystof Danek at Sparta, who seems to be a better fit for a Hlozek replacement type.

Jankto signed with Sparta on a 1 year loan with a buy option. I have to assume he didn't receive many good offers if he still went there after they bombed out of Europe.

I didn't watch Schalke's first match this season, and the stats show that is for the best, but I like what I'm seeing from Kral (and the team) this week so far. Very good touches and and defending from a deep midfield position so far.
