    Just to clarify, he is joining Juvenil B, right? Not Barca B.

    Last season, he was in Cadete A, mostly 2006s, along with Adrian Gill. Juvenil A is the last stop in the academy. The progression seems to be pretty orderly by birth year. (Last season's birth year in parenthesis):

    Cadete B (07) -> Cadete A (06) -> Juvenil B (04/05) -> Juvenil A -> Barca B -> Senior team.

    That makes more sense. I took someone else's tweet for it.

    I'm not so sure.
    The report says he was training with the 'B' team, that was 3 levels up.
    The in another paragraph it says that he will be playing for the 'B' team coming this season.
    I wonder if the training for the 'B' team was just that, a training session.

    He is definitely with the actual Barcelona B for preseason, as the tweet and other reports say, and not with Juvenil B. You're right he will likely start for a youth side (Juvenil B or A) when the season starts.

    Edit: club website confirms he is one of 22 players with Barcelona B for preseason. He's the only '06.

    I watch him play in a couple of full vids that I found in the net, and the kid is already manning the three sticks like a veteran pro.

    Not a shot at you, but I think the fanbase has gotten too far over its skis about Slonina. He may turn out great, but to date he has essentially accomplished nothing for us to start looking at him as holding the position for a footballing generation.

    How many other US keepers since mls started were the sure fire starter for their mls team at his age? Again, that doesn’t necessarily mean he will lock down the role for the US for the next 15 years. But there is obvious reason for optimism.

    Training with the 1st team:

    H/T to @ChuckMe92 for spotting this. One poster said he's traveling with the 1st team for tomorrow's match, but won't be in the squad.

    I am doumbfounded. He is 17. He was on the bench for a La Liga game. In fairness, there was another GK on the bench too; he is a 19 year old Spaniard. Curious who would have come into the game if ter Stegen got hurt. Regardless, it's unbelievable that he's already on the 1st team bench at 17. As everyone knows. GK's mature much later. A 17 year old keeper with the first team is like a 21 year old field player (give or take).
