Daryl Dike mic'd up at West Brom is the content we needed today. (via @WBA)pic.twitter.com/BeMNqLPwZe— USMNT Only (@usmntonly) July 3, 2022
I've been a fan of his for a few years now and in videos before he went to England he had a Nigerian American accent but it was def American. Now he's somewhere between all of that with more of an English accent mixed in. His team mate at the 2:30 mark teases him about it but I think Dike is correct -- at this point he hardly sounds different than most of his native English team mates. I mean I really DGAF about his accent, I just find it interesting.
Starts in friendly: 📋 𝗧𝗘𝗔𝗠 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 📋Here's our first half line-up for our opening pre-season friendly of the 2022/23 campaign against @leytonorientfc. The boss will field a separate XI in the second half. 💙🤍 pic.twitter.com/Ou9TRi06BN— West Bromwich Albion (@WBA) July 4, 2022
https://www.birminghammail.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/west-brom-leyton-orient-live-24389808 "He's had precious few openings so far in what has been a cagey, low key game, but Daryl Dike just rolled his man with excellent close control and burst into the area before eventually having his low shot from a tight angle blocked and sent behind for a corner. It's early days, but the big man looks in good shape."
I love it when he's screaming THIS WAY in the scrimmage. I love that he wants the ball on his side of the field and gets ticked when it's not coming his way. Tells me a lot about his confidence to play at this level.
This guy is so goddamn likeable, it's almost annoying. He even says please and thank you to the water boy. I mean seriously.... how could anyone on this earth not like Dike? Even the big strong CB's of the Championship - who will undoubtingly get roasted by him on the way to 20 goals - would ask for his help after getting knocked to the the turf. And in true Dike fashion.... he'd help that poor defender up, brush him off, and give him a real American "atta boy". The world is a better place with a healthy Dike. This season is going to be huge for him. Huge!
Would be great to see him bag a few before Sept. 1. Get him rolling and back in the running for the #9 for USMNT.
Dike with a Bee-kay! Daryl Dike at West Bromwich Albion With all due credit to the one and only @dark knight.
Dike got on at 65' and WBA lost 2-0, but it was all worth it for this photo. https://www.expressandstar.com/spor.../2022/07/09/stevenage-2-0-west-brom---report/
Yes, but that small guy is exhibiting high level of dorsiflexion that is essential to top agility. Dike, none, but obviously could steam roll guy, if allowed.
