Pretty underwhelming not even gonna lie. Are we not able to pull a manager with some credibility? The amount of talent Colombia has and it seems we keep getting scraps.
he is a garbage coach... that got lucky that Chile and Colombia just couldn't score for 8 games. Outside of Brazil all SA teams in qualifiers were complete Shit
This is how the upcoming 2026 WCQ would be according to initial reports coming from Argentina and ColombiaThis is to define six spots + a playoffTwo groups based on FIFA rankings as of today: 🇧🇷🇺🇾🇵🇪🇪🇨🇻🇪🇦🇷🇨🇴🇨🇱🇵🇾🇧🇴— Juan Arango (@JuanG_Arango) June 22, 2022
Makes no sense to play those 18 matches when only 3 teams will be eliminated. You could potentially have half the squads with their fates sealed before matchday 9. The weirder part I've head is that the teams will not be playing within the group. Each team will play 10 matches against the other group's teams.
Colombia will find a way to make things difficult for the 26 cycle. Unfortunately we are good at lowering the standard
My cousin immediately asked if I was gonna see the Mexican game but I am like, "Oye primo I ain't driving 7 and a half hours for a ********ing friendly! ¡Jajajajajajajja!" ...Then he asked if I was gonna visit Envigado for Christmas.

haha not paying or driving 3 hours to see us play Guatemala even is we win 17-0 and score all the goals we should have for the 8 game dry spell Not worth it
I hear ya. I've regularly driven a lot in long trips since I moved to California but 3 hours is the point where I have to question if it's worth thr effort.
It’s 45 minutes of trains/transfers from work for me. No matter the circumstances, it’s always worth seeing the team live.
haha…. I use to go to all the games with my dad…. not super worth it any time unless we play a good team
Hopefully they let young guys get a chance and maybe some of the U20s standouts... Rest Díaz. We know he will be the starting left winger. But give Sinisterra a shot at left winger these matches from the start. Also give Daniel Ruiz and Yaser Asprilla playing time in each of the next friendlies.. Morelos and Borre should be the 9s but should Cucho Hernández and Chicho Arango deserve a shot at the 9 spot even if they are in MLS and Juilian Quiñones from Atlas has been clutch for them and when he was in the U20s and deserves to at least get the last 25 mins in a couple of friendlies No more barrios or Mina or Davinson or James or Cuadrado. They had their chances Guys like Carlos Cuesta and Yerson Mosquera and Andres Colorado and Stiven Vélez and Andrés Felipe Roman should get a chance to start. There's a lot of players in South America and Liga Mx and Europe that didn't get the majority of the playing time during qualifying that deserve to start.
No more Barrios? I’m all ears on this one… Im all for trying out different CB’s and trying New attackers outside of James /JC11. More than new players, I just want to see some sense of in game tactics. I know my Sunday league is of a lower caliber of quality but we always came up with the best ideas when we would incorporate a 2 or 3-touch maximum in our practice games. It really made us play more as a unit rather than relying on any one player
Most of this makes sense to me. I am with Yerry whenever he is healthy though - best CB in the hemisphere when he is on form for me. Everyone talks about him like he is washed because of a single penalty that Dibu stopped. We literally almost qualified to the WC on sheer 0-0 ties (defense was not the issue) and his statistical impact for Everton is absurd the last few seasons.
He has been hurt so much lately that I think once he's at 100% he won't be thw same Mina as the 2017 - 2018 version of himself.... I think he can be called up if there is a injury but I think it's time to let younger and faster players like Carlos Cuesta and Yerson Mosquera play. Mosquera impressed the wolverhampton supporters prior to his injury. And he's been rested most of the year. He's younger and faster than Sánchez and Mina. He deserves a shot.
It's time to let other attackers get a chance. Definitely guys like Sinisterra, Campaz, Daniel Ruiz, Daniel Mantilla, Emerson Rodríguez, Yaser Asprilla, Jorge Carrascal I hope that they can add a couple of more friendlies to try out new guys. And Julian Quiñones should be thw front runner for starting at least one of friendlies. He has the added benefit of having played as a Center Foward in a tandem which he's excelling at right now put up goals and assists but he's also played as a winger. He's poly functional and his stats show he can score and create for others so I think he should be first in line to get a shot at the 9 spot. Not only does he have good stats and pace but he has shown grit to fight for loose balls in the box and the talent and poise to finish those chances. I haven't seen that since Falcao for the national team. At the 9 spot Borre and Morelos should get the start in the next official competitions but Julian Quiñones should start the next game. Mateo Cassierra and Jhon Córdoba for their good seasons last year deserve a shot. Cucho Hernández and Chicho Arango should be allowed some starts as well.
I love Mosquera's potential but he missed even more games than Mina to injury last year! And when Mina DID play last year he was great. I think he'll be just fine. He has another qualifying cycle in him and I think that Cuesta (who also missed about some amount of games after they were both used foolishly for like 300 minutes in a week!) should play beside him. I hope that Mosquera will hold up as he actually gets minutes for Wolves and that Cuesta will make to a higher league, but I have every confidence that Mina can be the best player on a premier league team because he has (and not so long ago). Obvi - if he is fit.
