Team is in Mexico: Passport ☑️Coffee ☑️Smile ☑️Hola from Mexico! 🛬 pic.twitter.com/CNAc2N6MhP— U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (@USWNT) June 30, 2022 Considering traffic these days, should we do game day threads or keep it all here? (I lean towards the second.)
Broadcast rights are owned by CBS-Sports... I can't seem to find any information, is that just a regular CBS affiliate channel or is there a specific CBS-Sports channel? Anyone know?
Paramount Plus, primarily. There are some 30-day trials available out there. When I went to cancel my free trail, they game me another month.

Paramont+ has coverage of UEFA champions league, some of the NWSL, CONCACAF Women's World Cup qualification and many other domestic and international soccer leagues and competitions. It should be noted that for many matches if the coverage is on regular CBS, like local TV, it will not be on Paramount Plus just like many other services where the primary stream is on a primary channel. I consider Paramount Plus to be a great subscription for soccer fans. But so is ESPN +, they just, mostly cover different leagues/events. I also recommend Peacock TV, if for no other reason, because they have good coverage of the EPL. For the WWC itself you will need/want to have access to FOX and FS1 and FS2 and, sometimes, as it has been in the past, FOX has moved some lesser matches to Fox Soccer Plus so assess to that, which often is kept separate by FOX, may be needed if you want live access to some lesser matches. Just like nearly every other service all those I listed consider soccer as a second or third tier sport and therefore will not interrupt coverage of things like Corn hole matches (glorified bean bag toss) or Rodeo or Demolition Derby or even baseball which often takes priority over any soccer match. Also it is not at all unusual for the online feed to start late or have no audio or very poor camera work or all of those to happen, particularly for the more obscure matches/tournaments.
Thanks, makes sense. Will double check CBS local if not, will pick up the free month. Been wanting to binge watch some of their programming anyway.
The video is almost always from the local broadcast provider, so the network usually has no control over the game images. I can understand why some US feeds are back (usually how they make switches during play), but I've been amazed that some European feeds make really bad choices, too.
Live and local from...............Big D. No excuses, maybe a reason. I've thrown myself at the mercy of the United States Soccer Federation and they have given me triple, not double, TRIPLE SECRET PROBATION. I got off easy. As if your Fourth of July/USWNT Holiday couldn't get any better, my handy dandy DISH guide lists a one hour Prematch Show starting at 6 ET, 5 CT and 3 McSkillzT.
Many thanks for this. Was able to find the listing for tonight's game on CBS Sports Network on my cable system (Spectrum).
16" Sophia to ATG in the box, Mal and Sophia are being allowed to just dribble to the end line for crosses.
Haiti hits the post from a PK attempt, and an IDK coming out since the player who took the PK tried to take a 2nd attempt (without another player first touching the ball). Haiti getting too many chances now.
Haitian player Borgella red carded right before halftime. VAR currently looking at it. EDIT: Card reduced to a yellow, after VAR. To add to the edit: I can see yellow, given live. Red is a good call, but I can see a yellow. But to reduce the red to a yellow from VAR, it should be a "clear and obvious error." And I don't think it was; I don't like the way VAR is being used here.
Thought the same thing, I guess the goalie always blocks the attempt that the PK taker always shoots in on the 2nd attempt.
You can't ever double hit a direct or indirect kick without it touching another player. And basically a PK is a direct kick in the box.
My opinion??? That Haitian player should not hold her breath waiting for an invitation to Thanksgiving Dinner. What if that was Messi?
Back line was shaky. Dumornay is a handful. Lavelle seems off. Too many passes missed. Nice to see Morgan back.
It is a good thing that Haiti is such a horrible team. If they were even decent the match would be tied or, maybe, even 3-2 in favor of Haiti. (or 3-2 in favor of the US, Morgan's bump off the crossbar early ) The ref is actually doing pretty good but the US is reverting to the lack of style of a lot of worthless and aimless passing at the back. The US is also showing very bad passing and choices over and over. It will not matter much as Haiti is really really BAD and may not score even if unchallenged. It will be interesting if the US players wake up and decide to play soccer instead of mostly wandering around in a daze. The pitch is quite good, not at all like what the US U20 men played on in their qualification. This, so far, is one of the worst performances the USWNT has had in quite a while. But they are winning 2-0 so all is not bad, just boring and dull.
HALFTIME (2-0 USA) Two beautiful goals by Alex Morgan, which were preceded by a beautiful header off the crossbar (although I think she might have been offside if it went in). Becky Sauerbrunn was beaten very badly at the top of the box twice in a span of 5-10 minutes that led to two excellent chances for Haiti. Casey Murphy bails her out with a great save on the first one... and the second time Sauerbrunn got burnt, Fox compounded it by conceding a PK with the upright saving Sauerbrunn and Fox on the PK. In the final minutes of the half, a bad foul (high boot) against KO leads to Haitian player getting a Red. VAR intervenes and the Red is switched to a Yellow. Nice to see VAR in CONCACAF, but I was shocked to see that one overturned.
Agree with above: The defensive line has not been what I'd expect of this team. They need to tighten it up before the coming games in this tournament. On the offense, not the best, but not the worst. It's good enough, but we could use some more creativity in movement and passing. And I guess for the card: CONCACAF going to CONCACAF.
