Despite being 32, Asllani seems to me still at the top of her form (at least judging from how I've seen her play for Sweden NT in the latest pair of years): it's a big hit for Milan, although it seems to me that, as an overall team, they remain some steps behind Juventus and Roma in Italy, so it won't be easy to conquer an UEFA Champions' League qualification in a country that keeps having just two spots.

Well Italy starts the new UWCL campaign in 7th place, so only need to overtake one team to get three teams in the competition in 2024/25.

    Right now:

    5. Denmark (two teams this season) 23.750
    6. Sweden (three teams this season) 23.166
    ------------------------------------------
7.Italy (two teams this season) 22.500
    8. Czech Republic (three teams this season) 20.8333

The Czech are not likely to get more than one team to the group stage, Sweden will need their three teams to do a good job, while Italy and Denmark with only two teams will have a slight advantage imo.

Yes, but it will be too late for this season's Milan. It's true that Asllani signed until 2024, so she could stay for longer if Milan wins the UWCL qualification for the subsequent year; she will be 35 by then, though.

I guess Häcken thinks their team is too young:

Zeller can't replace Kaneryd (who'll be gone after the Euros). But at least Csiki will get to speak some Hungarian...

Rumour has it (fotbollskanalen.se) that Anna Anvegård who has left Everton is headed back to the damallsvenskan and Häcken. She left Rosengård last year together with Nathalie Björn and Hanna Bennison. This week Häcken has also landed U19 NT left back Anna Sandberg who won the newcomer of the year award last year for a reputed 50K euros.

Wow, that's huge! Inter needed a strong central FW to complement Ajara Nchout Njoya and Tabitha Chawinga perfectly fits the description.

Although I feel like I am most probably the only one in Italy, apart from Inter's managers who signed her, to actually be able to assess how much of an hit Chawinga's signing was!

Lina Hurtig had been so-so last season for Juventus (she had impressed much more at her first season in Turin, in 2020-2021), but she anyway was an high-profile international and probably it hurts for Juventus to lose her to a direct WCL competitor as Arsenal. :coffee:

Juventus anyway has plenty options in offense (Girelli, Bonansea, Beerensteyn, Bonfantini...), so I am not sure they're going to feel the need to be back to the market to replace Hurtig, but of course, if they want to repeat last year's run in Champions' League, they need depth.
