I have a TST7 croatia cat1. Im not planning to go for the 3 group games, i will fly on the 5th. Can i sell all my group stage tickets without affecting my R16,QF, SF, F tickets?
Only problem with that thought is FIFA Hospitality don't check payments until mid way through the following month, meaning Hospitality tickets won't be rescinded until late July.
No worries yeah- that's the FCFS for phase 1. At least if you cancel Egypt or want to wait, you have many options nearby. I guess that's the nice thing about a Qatar World Cup
Another question for those with experience with the resell platform: 1. Are you made aware once your ticket is sold? Like via email similar to StubHub. 2. Can you recover your ticket in case it hasn't been sold close to the match time? I might want to return a ticket for a low demand match but I would want to take it back and just go if there is low chance of selling vs. losing the money I paid for it.
That's me. I'll be arriving in Qatar after a 2 1/2 week trip to India. Sadly not looking forward to spending my first 24 hours in Doha in the dump of a hotel I've paid for. Guess I'll bring a book to read!
World Cup accommodation cannot be used to quarantine. There are separate hotels for that. You need to book one of those here: https://www.discoverqatar.qa/welcome-home/ Maybe you knew that already. Thought I should mention anyway.
I've been kicking this around... and may give it a try on one of my accounts. What if your email account is "hacked" and you need to change your email address on your FIFA account. This is a possibility and I want to think FIFA has to accommodate the email change.
It will change of course, it will be crazy to keep that and i think all red countries will be removed but they will probably do it closer to the event..
I was looking at the Qatar corona travel restrictions today and my intepretation of it is that unless you are a GCC or EU passport holder you need to take a PCR within 48 hours of departure to Qatar, and even GCC and EU passport holders need to do a RAT within 24 hours of landing. These restrictions are essentially unworkable as there will be thousands of tourists who test positive in their pre departure test (and wont be able to travel) and thousands more who test positive with the on arrival RAT. As someone noted earlier the Red List and restictions havent been updated for three months. They need to get their sh*t sorted so people can book with confidence. So many aspects of the organisation of this World Cup are being done with, what i see as, intentional opaqueness. Maybe as an authoritarian dictatorship thats how Qatar is run day to day but it doesnt cut the mustard in most other places.
Changed plans and got tickets to the F1 race in Abu Dhabi on 20 Nov. Don’t know jack about auto racing, but enough friends said it’s a must-do that we decided to check it out. Guess we have five months to binge watch the Netflix show and learn.
During the Fan Leaders Call in April this exact question was asked and they said that the partial resale of TST was allowed (ie. individual matches). It was also possible for World Cup 2018.
Are tickets able to be bought direct? If so, can you send me link on where you bought tickets to F1 in Abu Dhabi, thanks in advance
I'm not convinced, the queue will be massive for the FCFS2. They wouldn't want that on the same date as Welsh FA otherwise those Welsh fans will be waiting for many hours to get into the portal to use their code to buy tickets. Not the best experience...
If if is really 28th June they are releasing that info officially today or worst case tomorrow. They will not do it one day before on Monday.. although if I remember last fcfs was on a pretty short notice as well so an announcement today or tomorrow would not be impossible.
Yes. I agree. We were looking at coming in from Sri Lanka. It is still on the Red List for Qatar for some unexplained reason. Sri Lanka has something like 5 total deaths from COVID in the last two months. That Qatar Red List is just ridiculous. The sooner they get rid of it, the better. I mean, the United States has a lot more than 5 COVID deaths EVERY HOUR. Why isn't the U.S. on the Red List? It just looks like some political reason, rather than science based. But Qatar cannot reserve all the hotel space they would need to quarantine the thousands of people coming in from those Red List countries. They need to get rid of the Red List before the World Cup.
Dont worry 800,000 tickets means every group game will have between 1000 and 20,000 tickets available depending on the game. Im expecting Argentina x KSA to have around 2000 tickets available while costa rica x Japan to have 20,000 tickets. Knock outs will not have a lot of tickets available, especially those played on small stadiums. At least 10 games will have available tickets for 1 week and Fifa usually switch off the sales after 1 week, saying that these games sold out which is not true, and will reoffer them in last minute sales..thats probably their selling technique
Agree 100%. They are sabotaging the World Cup, their own event, with the uncertainty created by their own outdated COVID restrictions. Pretty much every other country in the region has already dropped those requirements, some several months ago.
I had that problem in Euro 2016 when some people I bought tickets for didnt come in the end. It comes down to the match and the timing of the resale. Lets say, for example, you buy a KO round match expecting Brazil or Argentina to be in the game, they dont end up in that match and THEN you sell the ticket, depending on what the matchup is, you can be holding the baby, as it were. The best mitigation is to just buy tickets for matches you INTEND to go to. Works best for all concerned.
Indeed - and any unsold hospitality tickets can just be released into the FCFS phase later in the month. FCFS is never TRULY sold out. It is a fluid process.
