FWIW NEW: DOJ has expanded its Jan. 6 probe with FBI delivering fresh subpoenas to people about fake electors. One went to a Trump campaign official who played a role in Arizona. Another went to a Georgia lawyer/elector. w/@DevlinBarrett @hsu_spencer https://t.co/inD0LfKz9a— Josh Dawsey (@jdawsey1) June 22, 2022
Marcy believe DOJ has been on this plot since last year... it just took ages to get up in Rudys phones The report has led to ill-informed people claiming that these investigative steps only came about bc the Jan 6 Committee "shame[d]" DOJ to take this step. But I can **guarantee** you that DOJ took a step critical to this prong of the investigation on April 28, 2021. pic.twitter.com/MjNU2d785h— emptywheel (@emptywheel) June 22, 2022
Listened to the free bit of preets commentary today They think Eastman should take a deal. By implication DOJ is all over Rudy and Eastman and Rudy will likely go down.
And we're fortunate enough to have a second Biden term, I would be in favor of doing some rearranging and Garland retire so that Schiff becomes the AG.
I'd love to see him stuck in an interview with someone who knows how to do it and be forced to answer something like this: You just stated under oath that you believe that the constitution is divinely inspired. Furthermore, that regard for the sanctity of the constitution and your oath to uphold it was your basis for rejecting Donald Trumps request that you act on his fraudulent attempt to subvert the election results in your state. Is not your willingness to vote for him again just as much a betrayal of your oath?
Rep. Jamie Raskin told reporters that the original Jan. 6 hearings "would have wrapped up in June, but we are picking up new evidence on a daily basis with enormous velocity." "The schedule is fluid," added Rep. Stephanie Murphy.— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) June 22, 2022 Looks like it is getting picked up for a second season!
"We skipped the light fandango Turned cartwheels 'cross the floor I was feeling kinda seasick But the crowd called out for more..." (Brooker/Reid/Fisher)
Preet's podcast was saying this is what you get when you appoint a judge as AG Whereas someone like Sally Yates would probably have arrested the whole gang by now
Following the Gillum indictment (what a scumbag), it is very hard to see how Trump does not get away with it due to political considerations. Trump literally stole money from his charitable foundation for his own benefit! In plain sight he received undeclared contributions and bribes in the form of vast payments to his businesses. He and his capo's clearly grifted vast sums from the campaigns for their own benefit Explain to me how Parscale is not in jail?
Also - even if Gillum is a political hitjob (how did they miss Parscale in florida lol) - who cares? Gillum is a crook. That's the difference to the MAGAe who excuse trump's obvious corruption at every turn
More and more digging. One day they’ll strike gold and excite the DOJ.
