You also can always easily sell your tickets on StubHub, Viagogo, etc if FIFA’s platform proves too onerous. You’ll list the ticket(s) for sale and then once they’ve sold and the ticket has been made available to you by FIFA, you’ll officially transfer the ticket using the FIFA ticketing portal to an email address provided by StubHub/Viagogo (the buyer’s). And then you’ll get paid a few days after the game. Even easier than mailing paper tickets. It’s worth noting that some games will be selling for under face value and StubHub/Viagogo will also take a percentage.
You are. You can re-sale any of the guests’ tickets individually. What you cannot do is re-sale the main applicant ticket without reselling the whole bunch for the guests as well.
Do you know -- if you transfer all the guest tickets to other people, leaving you with only the main applicant ticket, can you then resell (through FIFA) only the main applicant ticket such that the guests keep the tickets you previously transferred to them? (I know this is assuming that someone re-buys the single ticket from the resale platform.)
Except that FIFA doesn't allow the transfer of the main applicant or their email. So I have no idea how Viagogo is going to manage this, unless FIFA relaxes that rule... There is a change email function that maybe they will eventually activate, but for now, no dice.
That’s fair. So at worst, you’d have to sell one on FIFA’s platform and the others on third party sites.
I think once you transfer the tickets to a guest, those tickets are completely gone from your account and show up in the guest’s account.
So that would suggest you CAN resell just the main applicant's lone remaining "master" ticket, snice all the guest tickets will be out of the main applicant's account by then. But wasn't sure if, say, transferring some tickets to guests nullifies the opportunity to resell any tickets, or something.
See @soccer_23, you can't return the main applicant's ticket to fifa after you sold any one of the others on the secondary market.
The fact the Welsh FA on their website said it is to be delayed a week to 5 July makes me think 28 highly unlikely. Though there's still time to announce (I think they didn't give very much notice previously) and go ahead on the 28th, it's not looking good for the 28th. Fifth July really unsuitable for me because of work. Would love 28 June.
I was there on July 4th, 1994 to watch my beloved Yanks get dominated even when up a man (Tab Ramos took an elbow for Old Glory). We were happy for the Brazilians as everyone partied in Palo Alto after the match!
I couldn't wait on Qatar removing India from the COVID-19 Red Health Measures list so I cancelled my flights to Mumbai, India and onto Doha. I replaced them with flights to Athens and then a nice direct flight on Qatar Air from Athens to Doha on Nov. 20th. I'll get in by 5pm so I can settle in and get ready for USA v Wales and the other 3 matches on opening day! The current international spat between India and Qatar (Google it) made me very pessimistic that Qatar would ever remove India from the Red Health Measures list. I would've had a 1-day Hotel quarantine and missed USA v Wales. I'm sure they'll lift that madness but I didn't want to take a chance after waiting 6 months since booking my flights in December. OPA! Greece here I come!
The deadline for the MATCH Hospitality payment plan for tickets and hotels is July 1st, 2022. So it makes sense to push FCFS to July 5th and past this. Whomever doesn't pay their last installment due July 1st for Hospitality tickets will cause those to either get returned to Hospitality or as CAT1s.
I am one of many on here who are booked thru Egypt which also is still on that Red List which is WAY overdue for an update. A bunch of us were discussing this before and we were all confident the list would be updated and Egypt removed, but now I'm getting worried. That Red List hasn't been updated since March, almost 3 months ago. We're now inside of 5 months and I don't want this to be a last minute thing, I like to have things settled. So I'm getting close to rebooking my flights so I connect thru a non Red List country.
I think you're getting phase 2 confused with the second sale of phase 1, which was the phase 1 FCFS. Phase 2 has only had the lottery so far. There was NO TST in phase 2.
I still believe it will be the 28th. I think the 5th is for Team Suppoter tickets destined for Federations. In the link they sent here, it's still the 28th and the sales site is practically ready.
But precisely because the deadline to pay for Hospitality is on the 1st of July, you can make the FCFS on the 28th. Many people may have bought Hospitality to guarantee a place, but they prefer a common ticket. The FCFS opening on the 28th these fans can buy common tickets and return the Hospitality
Someone here recommended Muscat, and my dad having traveled there many years ago also recommended it- I ended my Egypt trip and put the funds towards Muscat, and cannot wait
you can absolutely sell one ticket from a group. i had 2 tix to games the last 2 WCs and sold just one.
i purchased on march 24th. Always thought of it as phase 2, but you may be right. my bad. Im also on a layover in Egypt hope that red flag gets cancelled soon.
