Just a goalie? sure, everyone is entitled to an opinion, even though that opinion isn't rooted in reality.

Look, the Oilers beat a mediocre Kings team in 7! and a pretty slow Calgary team.
They were exposed by Colorado for what they are, a decent team that needs more than a goalie. The Oilers just don't have the depth to be a true cup contender. Colorado are just on a different level (period) Having said this, as a BIG Leaf fan, I'd switch the golf course for the Conference finals.

BTW, Nurse is mediocre at best even with a bad hip flexor.

No denying that Colorado is on a different level. They are the favorites to win this season. Always were.

The Flames finished in first place. They were the favorites against us. Calgary had one of the top lines in the league and we completely shut them down. Our defense nullified Tkachuk & Johnny Hockey. Calgary played an open game against us because well.....That's just the Alberta style. Sutter was never going to resort to a neutral zone block. No way.

LA played the neutral zone block to slow us down, Colorado did the same thing but they have a difference maker (Cale Makar).

When Colorado had to play the way they played against us, it goes on to show how much respect they were giving our offense. They never played like that during the regular season but they had to do it against us. You gotta do what you gotta do to win, even if it's not pretty. I get it. Good on them. LA did some good things to slow us down and Colorado obviously took notes from that series.

If we can get a .920 goalie that can continue that play in the playoffs i honestly think we will take that trophy with ease next season. Watch and see.

Like I've always said, opinions are like a ss holes, everyone has one.

I still maintain that Edmonton is further away from a cup than a goalie.

Depth, Depth, Depth, Depth...something Edmontaon does not have.

Case in point, at even strength Colorado was a far superior team. Not even Connor McJesus could turn the tide.

Ya , wondering how well Oilers would have done if they had to go through teams like Tampa, Florida, Rangers and even Leafs etc . The east is how the west use to be.

Collectively, i always thought the West was better.

The West has too much of an advantage when it comes to free agency. All the nicer and more enticing cities are in The West. That's usually where the good players and their wives want to go. The East has the two Florida teams, New York and that's it.

This is why the pacific division will always be the most competitive division in hockey. Edmonton & Calgary have it rough but we still pull through.

The more you post about hockey the more I'm convinced you know little about hockey.
But like I said opinions are like.....

    Exactly

Like I said, the Kings gave a the Oiler a fit and took them to 7.
The Kings weren't a very good team.

Calgary seemed like they shi t the bed. A good season but I wasn't convinced.
Colorado was the first top team the Oilers played and we all know how that worked out.

Do you have anything new to add? You are a broken record at this point.

Just abysmal trolling. You are way out of your prime.

    Plenty to add

    You lost me here

The East has the two Florida teams, New York and that's it.

Can't argue with that. This country has a cagou issue with hockey. Americans can't stop laughing at us.

Who lost to the better team? Edmontao or Torontao?

This Stanley Cup Final is so hard to call.

With the Lightning having the experience factor, more depth at defense and the best goalie in the NHL, i am leaning towards them.

Mike Smith made things way too easy for the Avs. Vas will not make mistakes like that.

I hope to god it's TB. I don't want to hear everyone jizzing their pants over MacKinnon again.

Have a buddy who's a big Rangers fan. Dude was so cocky after game 3. Should've learned to never doubt TB.

After much pondering, maybe we are.

Who are we Canadians to even talk? We are a laughing stock

The Leafs are the England of Hockey and the Oilers are the Netherlands.

As life long Leafs fan, what can I say.
Countless years of hope followed by disappointment. Year after year after year.
It's quite pathetic but what can you do.
What fascinates me is that countless Canadians continue to support this team even though they have let fans down year after year. What blows me away is how we can't put into place the right people to brings us a cup. If Tampa can do it why can't we? If NY can do it why can't we? If St.Louis can do it why can't we? I really don't have much faith in the idiots running this team. Next year we'll be talking about the same sh it and we'll also be talking about who is going to be the new coach and the new manager as both will be fired after another year of disappointment.

    Nazem Kadri is a beast.

Puts the Lightning on the brink of elimination with a broken thumb.

I think it’s actually over now. No way they win 3 in a row with 2 being away

I'm happy to see the Avs take it this year. Just a really strong team from top to bottom, especially with Kadri being able to play again.

Makar has become one of the best D-men in the league. If the highly drafted Bowen Byram becomes good then that's another quality talent

Also one of my colleague has a niece who's married to Landeskog
