    I must admit I'm approaching these games more with hope than expectation. I wish the players good luck and I'm sure they will do their best.

    Yep. Didn't play who he's going to probably start against UAE. We should've been down 2-1 at the half. And Mabil looked offside, so if there had been VAR, then we would've lost this game?

    I'm struggling to work out the point of this game now.
    I suspect so. The free kick we scored from came from the attack after the penalty was turned down so that wouldn't have stood with VAR either. It just seemed strange to have so many players who probably won't figure against UAE or Peru when we only have one friendly to warm up. If this was a pre world cup friendly and part of a series then the team would have been fine. Seems a waste of preparation for a one of knockout game. We may have been better off just keeping the side training.

    I saw a number of around 500 travelling quoted, plus expats living there. So very likely to be less than 1000.
