No, some Fatcat Italian came out recently and said that Italy’s inclusion is impossible.

Personally, I think all of these teams who are trying to take claim to a spot are sad. You had plenty of chances in qualifying and failed. Trying to weasel into the World Cup is pretty damn sad. Have some self-respect.

The best team they could field IMO:
Donnaruma; di Lorenzo, Bonucci, Bastoni, Spinazzola; Barella, Tonali, Verratti; Berardi, Scamacca, Insigne.

This is what I think would be the best but in reality Chiellini, Jorginho will start and maybe Spinazzola won't get thrown to the pitch right away after recovering from long injury.

It seems like Hertha Berlin will stay in the first division. They’re up 2-1 in the second leg with about ten minutes to go.

Ascacibar has played really well. He has not stopped running and causing pressure and problems in the midfield for Hamburg. It will be interesting to see if Scaloni takes a look at him again after Qatar.

Kylian Mbappe: “Argentina and Brazil don't play games at a high level to get to the World Cup. Football is not as advanced as in Europe and it shows when you watch the last World Cups.” told @TNTSportsBR

I am getting extremely sick of Mbappe’s ego, and French ego in general.

Man, he’s almost making CRonaldo look humble…

Lautaro stats is quite interesting compare to last season where he actually involved in more goals.

    This season , 25 goals + 4 assists = 29 goals contribution
    Last season , 19 goals + 11 assists = 30 goals contribution

Its obvious that this season he's learning to play as finisher while last season he mostly played a second forward role while also trading passes with Lukaku. This actually has benifited us since he has been more clinical in NT in 21/22 season.

Very much so, loco. I think this is one of the strongest dynamics of this group. They fight for each other and in fact, there is a true brotherhood. I think it will take us a long way.

On the other hand, you have Benzema sending subliminal messages like a teenage girl, which indicates betrayal from Mbappe who snubbed Rea Madrid. That’s kinda rich coming from the Algerian who was convicted of blackmailing a former teammate, which got him exiled from the France national team. Hopefully, this brews over and infighting occurs again from them(Similar to 2010).

As I’ve said with this African Republic of France, that most of these players would be playing for the country of their birth if France was not a reputable footballing country. They only do so because of monetary gains. If Cameroon, Congo and whatever former colony was a power, they would play for them. That is pretty much a guarantee. It is very cut and dry.

Also as early as a few years ago, when Benzema was kicked out of the France team, he was asking to play for Algeria.

Or the German-Turkish rivalry within the German team in 2018 which steered by Ozil. Yea, another Real madrid guy.

Simeone is interested in Molina. Hopefully he does not regressed there.

A.Correa did have his best personal season & RDP finally find his best form in last quarter of the season.

Correa scored more league goals than Griezmann and Felix together (12 vs 3+8).

He also scored double the goals of Matheus Cunha, though he played ~1800 minutes while Cunha played ~1000.

“Argentina and Brazil don’t play games at a high level to get to the World Cup. Football is not as advanced as it is in Europe and it shows when you watch the last World Cups.”
    Mbappe

What a crock of shi# - this kid is so full of himself, and he is not the best player in the world, not his club and not his national team. But to this comment, its so idiotic to say this; who the hell thinks that qualifying in CONMEBOL is easy or easier than Europe??? I guess when France this qualifier was matched up with Finland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Kazakhstan it must've been really tough for Mbappe.

Try traveling to Brazil to play in the Maracana, or the high altitudes of Bolivia. This kid is a joke!

I think people are overreacting to Mbappe's comments... perhaps he does have an ego (as a star of his level should), but I don't think these specific comments were as ill intended as people are interpreting him.

He said European teams play the Nations League and Euros in between WCs so they are more accustomed to facing the top football nations. This gives them the advantage of testing things out and learning/adapting from their mistakes before the WC rolls around, while for teams like Argentina and Brazil it is something completely new when they face a Germany, France, Spain, Holland, etc. in the WC... there is no antecedent to learn and build from.

“The advantage we have here is that we always play high-level matches, we have the Nations League for example. When we get to the World Cup, we will be ready,” he stated.
Perhaps he made a mistake in his phrasing when he said "football in South America is not as advanced" and I think that's the sole headline that has gotten people fuming, but rather than being cocky I think he was simply highlighting the advantage top European teams have of playing each other more regularly, which he definitely is not wrong about.

Of course the UEFA WCQs are a joke, but look at the teams France has played since Russia 2018... Portugal (3 times), Germany (3 times), Switzerland, Holland (twice), Croatia (twice, and two more upcoming times before Qatar)... those are WC-like tests and excellent learning experiences.

Playing top competition and difficult matches are not that far off. There are no easy games in our qualifiers. At times, we have to travel great distances for these games. And I won’t even mention the hostile crowds we face, since fans and opposing players are always up when they face us. I’ve seen plenty of matches where so-called top European teams are playing in half-empty stadiums; and I mean, before the pandemic. There is nothing like our qualifiers. This makes the teams mentally tough. European teams do not put any fear into our side(s).

Mbappe is out of his depths here. He needs to shut his Ninja Turtle looking ass up.

TyC mentions that a potential friendly vs Morocco could be arranged.

    From the Morocco's NT schedule:
-6/1 vs US NT in the US for a friendly
-6/9 vs South Africa NT in Morocco for the African Cup Qualifier

I think if the Argentinian NT travel to Morocco and have a friendly match in either 6/5 or 6/6, I think this could work.

Not to mention the UFC style tackling we face.

Our qualifiers are half the time surviving the kungfu kicking and tackles.
