They do need a better team, but Busio also needs a lot more grit. For a midfielder, he doesn't cover nearly enough territory, at least in the performances I've seen. I can't speak to Tessman's contributions.

So now while Busio’s trying to look stylish he’s got to cover more ground? You’re asking a lot.

Nah. I'm just asking that he be stylish harder.

In Italy the tie-breaker is head to head, not goal difference, so with the tie Salernitana is safe and Venezia has been officially relegated, with Tessmann and Busio becoming the #6 and #7 YsA relegated this season after Green, Tillman, Sargent, Boyd, and Bello.

Good catch. They have two games to go but after SønderjyskE's draw at home on Tuesday, it's over for them, so Jose Gallegos is actually our #5 relegated and all slide one over, meaning Busio and Tessmann are #7 and #8.

Busio has completely fallen out of the rotation as relegation become more inevitable

Long story short just wasn't adding anything going forward and was a liability defensively. First part of the season Busio usually looked in control but in 2022 he looked way out of his depth and didn't look prepared for the physical battle Venezia was gonna be in

I like his skills, but I simply don't see it physically. Not big, not fast, not quick. It's always going to be tough for him in that regard

He basically either has to move back up the field and become a CAM or he needs to develop into a trequarista

How far does he fall in the pool if he's playing in Serie B?

That's my problem with him as well. He's not getting stuck in, or any physical presence, like a luxury player without much of the offensive upside. I like him but haven't seen much from him to think he should be anything but a bench player and definitely not contributing much to the NT.

He was gonna fall based on his form before he got dropped. I get why people are done with Roldan with the Nats (me too) bur you can at least argue he has been in amazing form with Seattle. Busio was in awful form then got dropped. It this time I don't think he should be in consideration for a spot on the team over someone like Djorde right now... let alone some other prospects in Europe like Ledezma, Mendez, Bassett ect (not even that they are lighting the world on fire, that's just IMO how far Busio's form has dropped right now)

Since you're not replying to someone, maybe I'm missing something, but you think Pulisic is not quick? Or fast, which I guess is more debatable.

Seems incorrect given that MLS is equivalent league at best

He reminds me a lot of a young Kyle Beckerman in that way. But Beckerman was slightly better positionally and covered more ground through higher effort. Busio is in for some tough times, but he’s still very young.
