Totally agreed. I try to stick up for him, but performances like today are hard to defend. He is out there jogging around, making runs into crowded areas. Just overall looks disinterested. One can see why TT likes him in a sub role, if this is how he is going to start matches.

It's a whole lot easier to combine with James than Alonso. Unless you are, in fact, James. Then it's not so hard apparently.
Yeah, Kante has struggled a lot recently. I remember not long ago people were giving him a shout for the Ballon D’or. Guy is a legend, but he has racked up insane amount of mileage in those legs.

He obviously hasn't played them all but Chelsea alone will play 63 matches this year. Add onto that France and you might expect a wee bit of fatigue.
