    Alvarez was the best player for Ajax today. Really strong on defense all game and saved the point for Ajax.

    Other than one lazy pass early in the first half, Alvarez had a very strong game. His passing was spot on and the goal was the icing on the cake. I think he was the most improved player on the Ajax roster this year.

    MOTM for me as a lot of the Ajax players were sleepwalking. He got more passes in the MF than I've ever seen before and his passing was spot on. Had another late header that went off the bar. Spent the final part of the game as CB replacing Rensch who was awful.

    I think he needs to stay as well and improve the speed of his passing. He made so much progress this year. I think he enjoys playing for Ajax after the family situation was fixed. Ajax are in he CL group stage next season and it's possible that they might be a number on seed. What I don't know is how many of the core players will remain.

    According to Voetbal International Alvarez only won less head duals than Haller in the Eredivisie and it's called a key feature for Ajax this season.

    Alvarez went the full 90 minutes and did well. It looks like Schreuder is going to take advantage of his defending and pushing the center backs further up the field . Alvarez had some very nice cross field passes in the match but did commit a late sill foul leading to a close in free kick. Cruyff Cup match against PSV comes up this weekend with the league season starting the following week.

    Don't teams and federations have sign off on what gets printed? I'm guessing they design jerseys with input from whoever owns it whether club or federation. Spain, Argentina, Colombia and Japan always have tight jerseys while ours are always cartoonish.

    I blame @Colima24 and @Baysic for watching all that anime shit...:x3:

    They're the reason why we ended up with those Power Ranger jerseys and later the Charlie Brown jerseys...:D

    We were good with our first two or three black kits, clean, pretty, classy. Then they decided to add those dumb extra details and now we're back to our crappy shade of green.
