If someone like Glass also leaves this summer, Bayern's already fractured defense will require another elite player I'm not sure the club prepared to finance... Even with Wolfsburg's squad looking completely unbalanced for most of the season, they've already made moves to posses the skeleton of a very strong 15 player team again. Scheuer has to know this too, and surely asked for the budget to provide his own squad with a strong group of 15 players for next season; probably receiving the answer.. .
Are we forgetting the constant rotation by Scheuer even when he had all of his players available? yeah covid and injuries ruined the crucial weeks of this season, but let's not pretend that Scheuer's anywhere near a great coach
from translating 100’s of posts from Facebook memes; majority read ‘he failed to meet expectations’ ‘he was too argumentative with refs’ too vocal at his own players’ ‘poor selections & recruitment’ ‘verbally abused fans in the stands’ although there was one that read ‘but he was going to lead Bayern to the Champions League Cup’(I take it that was yours, lol).
Who's ever said he was a great coach...; I've simply maintained the view his Bayern team were definitely approaching a standard of play he could genuinely believe capable of competing with the very best teams in Europe, plus continue establishing the club as a legitimate long term threat to Wolfsburg's perennial grip on the league title too. For all of the strange inconsistency of Scheuer's 2nd season, in Europe Bayern still produced glimpses at a greater potential they hadn't really shown previously. And they would do this missing Hegering, Lohmann, for most of a season both players 100% would have remained key components towards their coaches plans. One month of chaos really shouldn't be able to completely invalidate Bayern's other moments of undeniable progress this season....
Like I said... he definitely appeared very frustrated this season...., so I completely understand peoples criticisms for his often negative demeanor. Team selections were strange at times with Scheuer... but I still find it difficult to believe a few strange team selections at the root of his exit. Not when this is the same coach who won the title in his first season, and has clearly improved/advanced important elements of Bayern's football in the process. But questioning "poor" recruitment... lol, I feel like if anybody seriously questioning the recruitment policy of Bayern's women, should probably be focusing their attentions on a certain someone called Bianca Rech...
No... this wasn't me lol; but even if people won't want to think about this right now, I feel I'm not the only person who'd openly agree with opinion on Bayern's potential prospects in the WUCL under Scheuer looking pretty bright. People forgetting what Bayern looked like pre Scheuer within European competition, and now these same people choosing to ignore how their progress this season unfairly halted by crazy factors outside of their coaches control. Clearly a team designed to face teams like Lyon, using a very WUCL centric possession based style, that had already shown they would have been a rather frustrating opponent for the competitions powerhouses; it felt like Bayern a genuine threat to reach the final this season, or the next...
But if all these points are currently considered irrelevant... let me ask, does anyone genuinely believe Bayern really intended to release Scheuer from his contract right now...? As I don't believe for a second, that Bayern had any plans to let Scheuer leave like this after winning the league last season. And it's going to be very interesting to see who Bayern bring to the club to replace him now, considering a new elite coach will want/expect a good budget for recruitments, while I still hold doubts Bayern intend to increase the budget on it's women's team anytime soon...
Nicol Billa extended her contract with Hoffenheim to 2024... after Hoffenheim spent a full season not using her lol... Memeti/Fühner ------------------ Billa/TDC ----------------------- Kössler/Krumbiegel ----------------- Hagel/Feldkamp ------------ Corley/Hartig ------------------------------- ------------------------------------ Dongus/Harsch -------------------------------------------- Naschenweng ----- Specht/Bühler ------ Steuerwald/Degen ----- Linder/Steinert ---------------------------------------- Tufekovic ------------------------------------------------ If Hoffenheim serious, and they can get an additional player like Steuerwald to strengthen their defense, suddenly I'm looking at this group of player potentially being very competitive team next season...
Last year, Jens too, didn't get his contract extended at Wolfsburg after that club was considered an subpar season for them. That there's no new recruits yet next season, might of indicated that behind the scenes Scheuer wasn't getting along with management & knew that he was on his way out Could add the one new Austrian winger pickup(forgot her name) & Bundi 2's leading score from an couple of years ago, Leimenstoll(who only got 82 minutes of playing time though). So looks like an strong if not over stuffed squad for next season. I mean their gaining so far 4 new players(if you include the return of Krumbiegel) while only loosing 1(Brand), And here you got to questioning why Bayern hasn't picked up any new players? --------------------------------------------------------------- a few notes, apparently Werder Bremen hasn't re-signed 5 of it's current players(so maybe headed to some financial difficulty) ------------------------------------------------------------ Koln has announced the retirement of Kuznik & Mueller-Pressen. Kuzink was an starting CB last time an German club won the CL(Frankfurt in 2016) Mueller-Pressen was an part of the 2010 u20 WC champs squad , Now with the retirment of Knaak & Wich as well, it's orginial roster is reduced to only 6 active field players. Here was the lineups for the final Germany U20 vs. Nigeria U20 - 1 August 2010 - Women Soccerway ----------------------------------------------------------------- so far 7 Potsdam players aren't returning , but they did sign a few, a bitout dated but here's an article on Maya Hahn, who considers herself German despite being born & raised in New Zealand Football: Young Kiwi football star Maya Hahn on choosing Germany over New Zealand - NZ Herald .has played since an couple of years for Oregon U. Even though the college season can be short(3 months) quite a few Germans have looked pretty sharp after an season or two of American college(Freigang, Kossler, Linder)
Beerensteyn und Asseyi leaving Bayern. Hoffenheim new Austria Player is Hickelsberger. She was 15 Months injured. (ACL) Spielt erst seit März. Spiel normal as Starter in the Austrian NT
Acquaintance who follows men's football wrote lately: After the match against Villarreal, Bayern joined the competition for Rüdiger. They were ready to meet his expectations. But it was too late, because Rüdiger was already practically agreed with Real. They were late with Rüdiger and they were late with Schlotterbeck too (Nagelsmann even called him and convinced him to join Bayern, but Schlotti was already on speaking terms with BVB). With Lewy they delayed, waiting for Haaland's decision and now there will be neither one nor the other. He finished it with the point "(..) it's hard to believe how amateurishly Bayern Munich has been managed in recent times." It feels like Scheuer leaving may have more to do with his frustration toward general management of frauen section by the club than anything else... I read somewhere that Inka Grings is considered as one of possibile choices to replace him. Strange choice to say the least. Her FC Zurich lost championship battle with Servette in Swiss league this season.
Yes. There is nothing that makes me think that Scheuer was the side who wanted this separation. No statement from Bayern that they regret Scheuer leaving.
I don`t see what the management problem of Bayern`s men team (Salihamidzic) has to do with the women`s team.
Und wegen dem Haushalt in der Bundesliga. Ich is estimated that Wolfsburg has about 10 Mill. Euros. Bavaria will not have much less.
all six season final games coming up in an few minutes. I’ll be watching Bayern-Potsdam in ATA. Interesting that Hegering all of an sudden pops up on their starting lineup, Magull & Schuller sit Turbine & Frankfurt are tied at 43 points with Turbine got an 9 goal lead in goal difference, only thing is Frankfurt got the way easier opponent in 9th place Bremen
Bayern - Potsdam 1:0(Damnjanovic) Frankfurt - Bremen 1:0(Anyomi) Essen - Jena 1:0(S.Ostermeier) Bayern - Potsdam 2:0(Bühl) Essen - Jena 2:0(Endemann)
Bayern playing their best game of the year 2-0 at16 min. and that’s with Dallmann in charge of the midfield instead of Magull l like their 4-3-3 formation too
Essen - Jena 3:0(Kockmann) Bayern - Potsdam 3:0(Dallmann) Hoffenheim - Sand 1:0(Naschenweng) Bayern - Potsdam 4:0(Damnjanovic)
4-0 Bayern at half. If only they played this kind of fast, counterattacking football all season long ….. Bit I notice Wolfsburg going hog wild over Leverkusen 6-0 half
HT: Bayern - Potsdam 4:0 Wolfsburg - Leverkusen 6:0 Essen - Jena 3:0 Hoffenheim - Sand 1:0 Köln - Freiburg 0:0 Frankfurt - Bremen 1:0 Frankfurt would be in Champions League and Sand relegated. 2.Liga Meppen - Gütersloh 1:2 (Meppen will be promoted if they win)
