Any idea when Flick will announce the Nations League squad?
I supposed it would be soon. The mini- training camp starts on the 23rd of May.

Bundesliga ends 14 May with DFB Pokal on the 21st , where as the the premier leagues finishes on the 22 May. So would assume some where in that week.

Wonder if he will take a bigger squad for the training camp and then select say 26 players or only 23 players for the Nations league.

Are there any rules around the Nations league around squad size for the 4 games?

Nations League player list so I found this:
43.01 Each association must provide the UEFA administration with a list of 23 players (surnames, first names, club and date of birth) as well as the surnames, first names and date of birth of the head coach and assistant coach, mentioning their coaching qualifications. Three of these 23 players must be goalkeepers.

43.02 For the league phase and for play-out matches, the list of 23 players must be completed online by 24.00CET the day before the match. A signed copy of this list must be handed to the UEFA match delegate at the pre-match organisational meeting.

43.03 For the finals, the list of 23 players must be completed online at least 10 full days before the opening match. A signed copy of this list must also be sent to the UEFA administration by the same deadline.

I would assume then that Hansie can have a 30 players but must select 23 players for the actual game only - only in the Finals wont it make sense t have a bigger squad as they have to announce that 10 days prior

Brandt with 9 goals and 8 assists…hopefully he will score a goal or provide 2 assists or may be both in last match day…like to see him in double digits in terms or goals or assists or both

Given that he's only played 2/3 of a season, he's done really well., Definitely needs to be called up.

not sure he is good enough for the NT - but he will probably get a call up for the Nations league extended team

OK so Again did a summary here , we have around 40 players .. am sure Flick wont select all 40 players for the Nations league and we have to still cut many from this for the WC
    Goal Keepers (5)
    Neuer Trapp Nubel LENO TerStegen
    Right backs (4)
    Heinrich Kehrer Baku Hofmann
    Left backs (4)
    Gunther Raum Gosens Netz
    Center backs (6)
Sule Rudiger Gintner Schlotterbeck Tah Koch
    Defensive Midfield (8)
Kimmich Gorestka Gundo Neuhaus WEIGL Stach Dorsch Janelt
    Offensive Midfield(8)
Gnabry Sane Muller Musiala Brandt Reus Draxler Wirtz
    Attacking (5)
    Havertz Werner Adeyemi Burkahrdt Nmecha

40 players in total - have a feeling that Flick will nominate quite a big bunch for the Nations League say maybe 28- 30 players....the ones highlighted in red will or most probably will not get selected this June.

    I do
ctrl+F and type Mustafi.....get nothing, so no need to read list.;)

    joking aside
Netz and Burkardt likely in U21.

Don't think impossible we see Rode though. Captaining Frankfurt to historic EL final.

    I think Baumann/Ortega also candidates.

do hope some others stabilize or take next step soon.

Brandt was rare + in WC18 and was good at CC17. So far overall has done well in NT.

I think he should be called up, but I don't think he will make the starting XI (barring injuries). A good player to have on the bench.

Borussia Dortmund has signed offensive player Karim Adeyemi from Austrian champions RB Salzburg. The 20-year-old completed his medical check-up in Dortmund today and late in the afternoon signed a contract that is valid until June 30, 2027.

"Karim Adeyemi is a highly talented, young German international whose strength at the end of our offensive game will look just as good as his extreme speed," emphasizes BVB sporting director Michael Zorc. "Following the transfers of Niklas Süle and Nico Schlotterbeck, we've got another very exciting player in Karim Adeyemi for the coming season. By the way, one who has a high BVB affinity, whose heart has already beaten for black and yellow as a youngster and who has decided against many offers from the top European leagues in order to be able to play for Borussia Dortmund. His speed and goal threat are impressive, and although Karim is already very far in terms of football and athletics at just 20 years old, we see enormous development potential in him," says Sebastian Kehl, who will act as sporting director of BVB from the coming season.

Adeyemi, European U21 champion of 2021, is currently the leading scorer in the Austrian Bundesliga with 19 goals. During his four years in Salzburg, he won six titles (3 x champions, 3 x cup winners). In the current season, Adeyemi made a total of 35 appearances (22 goals/6 assists) for Salzburg in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League. On September 5, 2021, he made his debut for the German national team in a World Cup qualifier against Armenia and scored his first goal straight away.

Karim Adeyemi emphasizes: “As a little boy, I was fascinated by black and yellow fast-paced football. That's why it quickly became clear to me that I would like to switch to BVB when I found out about Dortmund's interest. I also deliberately signed for the long term because I am convinced that we will be an exciting team that, with the support of the fantastic Dortmund fans, will be able to play for and win titles in the medium term.”

Adeyemi (and Undav in Belgium) are on track to win top scorer in Austria Bundesliga. Those 2 have to 1st German top flight top scorers since Gomez in Turkish 1st back in 2016.

believe Adeyemi at 20 might be youngest ever top scorer in Austrian Bundesliga. Could be wrong but he's 100% of one youngest ever at MIN.

Would be great to see a German CF scoring goals for a top BL side again. Adeyemi has the potential to be elite, so this is an exciting move for both Dortmund and the NT.

with his speed/dribbling/pressing etc, he's perfect at Dortmund or Plastic but any would choose Dortmund over Plastic.

and will continue to play CL.

Adeyemi surely a great addition to Bundesliga but the big question is will he actually become a main player at Dortmund? Incoming Smith Rowe signing to partner the great Malen lol.

Starter for Germany at the World Cup? Musiala: "I believe in myself! But it doesn't matter whether I'm in the starting XI or a sub, I want to be ready and help the team. I want to help us get far."

on Hansi Flick: "He's like a mentor to me and he gave me confidence right from the start, so I can keep a clear head on the pitch. I have the feeling of complete trust with the DFB."

on Germany's WC chances: "We would like to bring the title to Germany! We're one of the favourites, but there are a lot of world-class nations in the tournament. It won't be easy, but we have to be aware we want to win the tournament. Every player wants that"

I feel like Musiala will probably end up playing more centrally rather then out wide, but yeah right now I’d say he’s most likely competing with Sané for a spot on the left.

Gnabry is a lock on the right imo, has a good scoring record for the NT and produced in big CL games for Flick at Bayern.

I guess having the combination of .... Musiala , Muller, Sane , Gnabry, Havertz , Werner, Adeymi and really hope for Wirtz will be good enough options for us.
