Ahead 4-3 in injury time. Their best game of the season, possibly. Of course, neither Busio nor Tessmann took part.

Hopefully he can find some gametime to really showcase himself before they drop. Tessman can use time in Serie B to improve but Busio will need Serie A if he wants to go to Qatar.

They really seem to not prefer Busio lately (let alone Tessman). Hopefully he gets one more start before the end of the campaign otherwise not a great message heading into Serie B

They showed pretty well in the fall. Looked to be staying up. Then they had a terrible home loss to Hellas Verona when they were 2 up. It's all been downhill since.

Busio is one of the few guys I expected to do well this season. I'm disappointed he lost his mojo after Covid.

The new coach doesn't like either of them which isn't good.

I'm not sure if Busio will land with another serie a club.

Busio's form dipped badly after he got covid and he never really got it back.

I wonder how the two of them feel. Relegation doesn't happen in mls obviously

About having their salaries cut and playing in Serie B? Yeah, that's a fooking' mystery!

Tessman has his own podcast with Johan Gomez. He talks about the toughest but most motivating thing he was that Venezia flat out told him that while they like him they just don't see him as ready for the relegation scrap... also alluded to that being why Busio isn't playing much either. Venezia felt team needed more grit

They needed a better team, not more grit.

Then Tessman wouldn't have been there period. These MLS bench to Serie A moves are stupid. And not like I believe that coaches are telling truth to him.

We've had so few MLS to Serie A transfers before so small sample size.

And if transfers are Tessman/Reynolds level the sample size will stay small.

The Reynolds and TT moves were simply, for lack of a better term dumb.

Little experience, success and playing time in MLS. but they were going to make it in Serie A? Simply stupid decisions. Ego, money, bad agents, over reach at it’s worst. There was a basis for Busio.

Of course GB is stupid for not bringing those guys in. :D;)

Just wanted to chime in here. Serie A have a lot of teams that will be scouting MLS more in part due to an influx in American ownership but also due to MLS players being relatively cheap. The big issue is the non EU rule for Serie A teams. But teams are absolutely paying more attention.

I do wonder if how different things would be for Reynolds if the Juve/Benevento deal went through rather than the Roma one... and in fairness I don't think he looked out of his depth at Roma when he played last year... bur Mourinho coming in and not loaning him in the summer (when Genoa and Salernitana reportedly had interest) was a mistake

Busio regressed the 2nd half of the season, could have been due to COVID, could just be bad form, but again up until he got COVID he never looked out of place.

Tessman has potential but he clearly wasn't ready tactically for Serie A. Just looked lost at times.

That being said I do know that Serie A teams are looking at several young established MLS players. Djordie being thr obvious one but a couple u 20 players are being looked at too

Tessman and Reynolds were not bought to seriously compete for starting Serie A jobs. They were bought for potential. Get them in here now at an ideally cheap price and then work on unlocking their potential. If they became major contributors right away that was just icing on the cake. Jose at Roma and his complete unwillingness to work with his young talent was a wrench in Roma/ Reynolds plan. Tessman's season has pretty much been what was expected. He has gained some really good experience in the top flight in Italy. Hopefully both over the next couple of years unlock their potential and can become Serie A starting level. All of that is probably also true for Busio, however Venezia probably thought they could get some immediate benefit out of him (and they did, he has done pretty well).

Also could be just some tired legs because he went from SKC to Venezia's season. He's not had an offseason since before the 2021 MLS season.
