That's good to know. Still, I question the coaching decision to choose a 19-year old kid who came on as a sub as one of your 5 penalty takers. I mean didn't we all learn that lesson from England at the Euro final?

And I agree about Valencia. I spent a few days there years ago. Great place. And the Holy Grail is there, in the cathedral.

If you have the time to get south to Valencia then I suggest you stay on the train and get to Alicante. That place is beyond sic. It doesn’t have the grail but the city is built below a huge old castle and the beach/nightlife is remarkable to say the least.

WRT Musah taking part in penalties, I have no blame for the coach. The taker has every advantage and Musah has played in enough big games for club and country to expect him to execute. He didn’t. I love Musah, but you have to test the keeper. Brutal miss.

Castelleon de la plana is another great place IMO. Halfway between Barca and Valencia. It‘s a beautiful, small, welcoming gothic town on the coast where I could easily see myself living, and still might! Can get to two beautiful cites easily , and hop on a plane to anywhere on the Mediterranean in a couple hours at worst.

My friends respect the kid for stepping up and having the courage to take the shot. When it comes to PK‘s I think fans assume everyone wants to take them. Many pros do not. They simply don‘t. That being said it was poor. Just the way it is.

Big difference between being the guy subbed on explicitly to take a penalty, and being the guy who happened to be subbed on in extra time and then chosen to take a penalty. Musah was brought on hoping he could help produce a game-winner, not for his penalty expertise.

Either way, everyone misses these sometimes and this is a mature response from Musah.

I see your Holy Grail in Valencia and raise you a vial of the blood of Jesus H. Christ at the Basilica of the Holy Blood in Bruges. :)

(Yes, I am highly skeptical of both claims, particularly after reading some good history about True Cross relic scams. There is probably a special place in Hell for me.)

Nah, you just have a brain and a willingness to use it. The sword in the stone located in Siena is the only one that holds up.

92nd minute sub, coning on for Soler. standing ovation for Soler as he comes off, and a bunch of applause for Musah in his first action since missing a PK in the Copa final.

Musah on the bench against Real Betis. Somewhat deep bench today - Guedes almost certainly the first attacking option to come on, with Gomez, Marcos Andre and Cheryshev there as well. Less midfield depth, so if someone there tires, he could be first choice for that.

Valencia sub on a 17 year old making his second La Liga appearance into the midfield at the half - Jesus Santiago. In questionably correlated news, Betis score to go up 1-0.

Musah subbed on for Soler in the 89th minute. They lose 3-0.

Musah snuck into today's game at 66', apparently, as Valencia played to a 1-1 draw at Espanyol. Valencia remains in 10th place (for the moment, at least).

Came on as the RM in a 4-4-2 and emphasized the defense as they were up 2-0. Pivoted to be more central for the very end. Flattened a guy with a shoulder charge enjoyably, and drew a couple of fouls, but a quiet performance.

As a Milan fan I'm curious to see how this goes. At both Milan and Napoli there were pros and cons for sure. He will get teams playing with grit and fire, so teams will go on hot streaks and in terms of points over perform the talent level... however tactically the attacks can become rather predictable and stagnant which will lead to dry spells.

Rumors already linking Bakayoko to Valencia as well as Suso
