Came in for Til, slotted into a #10 type role, but mostly pressing hard.

He was WIDE open on the left in the 92nd minute - Walemark chose to shoot anyway. To be fair, almost scored, but a pass to Bassett to pass back or shoot himself would have been much harder for the keeper.

They switched him from the middle to the left wing at some point. Didn't really do anything good or bad in short minutes.

  6. Cole sustained a head injury during training the first of March.
It's not clear how serious it is.

Came on as the #10, with the apparent assignment of "sprint all over the place and challenge possession for two minutes," which he did, including a steal that would have been sweet if he had been able to keep it from going three inches out of bounds while he did it. Dominant performance, but they didn't go up 2-0 until stoppage time, with Bassett coming on immediately after the goal. Shots were 30-3, shots on goal 9-0.

  17. I actually expected him to come in after the 4th goal, as players really became sloppy because of tiredness after the Conference League match on Thursday.

I don‘t like making to many predictions, as I am so often wrong, but I do like pointing out next steps. If this kid doesn‘t get real time next year I will be real disappointed. He has all the intangibles to succeed at this level IMO.
Just has to get on the field. Good luck kid.

  20. He's competing with Dutch, Turkish and Norwegian national team players in the midfield.
If he would be able to move in the first 12 months in this midfield, Berhalter is doing something very wrong.
Just to illustrate it's not easy here's a interview from this week at Feyenoord TV with Arsenal's top talent, who got Bundesliga first team experience as well in the EPL before coming on loan to Feyenoord. He talks about his experiences sofar at Feyenoord. it shows it's hard, but if you're good and put in the labour with the dedicated staff, you get time eventually.
Cole isnot a short term project. His not up to Feyenoord/Dutch football capabilities in tight spaces/speed of handling in tight spaces is something that needs longer and daily consistent work to improve.

Just to be clear I understand how difficult it is. I have no illusions, however, from what I have seen and know about Cole he has the right attitude, mentality and work ethic. Very, very important qualties when trying to play for a qualty Euro club. He also has that intangible quality of always being around the ball in dangerous places. He is the type of guy who finds a way. Most fans like flashy. I am more consistency and determination. I‘ll always gravitate towards a Tyler Adams type for example. I think Cole has those qualities. Even if he isn‘t a flat out star he has qualities that make coaches keep him around.
    At least that‘s what I hope.:p

  22. Well, that's the goal of our coaches, to get the best out of you and if you got star qualities, they will get you at star quality level if you cooperate and put in the necesary effort and labour. We have to develop players to the max of their capabilities as we havenot got hundreds of millions to pay for ready to start stars.
Just look at Sinisterra, who came in as a very young, talented nobody. His hard work with the staff has put him in the window that attracts the top clubs.
